So I found the lamp shade I wanted for the lamp going in the baby's room and I painted it the perfect pink that matches everything else Ive painted and now I just want to add a little detail. The issue Im having is in the pic below:

I cant decide between these 2 ribbon styles. Im a matchy type of person so as you can see by the pic below my crib bedding is brown, camel and pink so the brown is more sophisticated (although I would like a thicker ribbon I want to use what I have), the flowers are just cute. So how do I decide? I also have a camel colored chenille yarn that I could put on instead of ribbon...
PLEASE help me decide - let me read your opinions Im desperate! lol Oh and here are some other pics of things in her room because I think the theme leans more toward a sophisticated look all together...
THis has a sort of crackled finish with white, pink and gold and its not crooked on the wall lol
I was thinking of changing the white ribbon to brown but I wanted to keep the colors well circulated through everything and there is a gold sheen on these letters as well (I also have been told that the N is upside down and havent fixed it yet lol).

by HRHTroystweets on Oct. 6, 2008 at 8:19 PMYou're right, it is a sophisticated look. Therefore, the floral ribbon wouldn't work. I voted for the thin brown ribbon. It will tie into the classic feel of the room quite nicely & continue the flow of the room! Congratulations on your little girl! Her Royal HighnessWould you feel better if I licked your face? |

by melissa1983 on Oct. 7, 2008 at 8:56 PMThanks ya'll Ive definately decided to go with the brown and probably going to use what I have and just put 2-4 layers together to make the strip wider. Thanks again! Melissa (25) SAHM & wife to Jared (27) since Sept 2003 Mommy to Caleb (May 2004), Cody (Dec 2005) & Dana (Dec 2008)

by HRHTroystweets on Oct. 8, 2008 at 11:35 PMQuoting melissa1983: You know, you could do two thin strips of brown leaving a little bit of space in between. (For example, if the ribbon is 1/4" wide, leave about 3/16" space between your two layers.) It will look lovely, whatever you choose! Her Royal HighnessWould you feel better if I licked your face? |
