Do you have anything special planned for the choosing of the outfit? Have you chosen it already? I'd love to see your 'bringing baby home' outfit, so put up a picture!
For us, during the first opportunity (while other family is visiting etc.) my DBF is going to run out and pick it out. I think it'll be fun to have him pick her first outfit.

by Jenpdxs on Sep. 8, 2008 at 11:04 PMI am just waiting until I see the perfect thing, haven't found it yet. I want it to be something warm and comfy for her. Summer stuff is still out at the stores. Maybe I will find something next month when it gets a little colder! We still need to go shopping again Miss Jeka!!! |

by SassyLassi on Sep. 9, 2008 at 9:42 AMThis is the outfit I wore home from the hospital 30-some years ago. All 3 of my other girls have worn it and now it's cleaned, pressed and ready for this new bundle of joy! I have a nice, plush pink blanket to keep her nice and warm in it. :-) |

by triplemlw on Sep. 9, 2008 at 10:50 AMFor my first daughter I had this really cute White Dress with silver for winnie the pooh and was SSOO pretty I got newborn for the size. My daughter was 8lbs. 6oz, and 20 in long and she couldn't wear it she was swimming in it she ended up wearing Premie clothes for a month!!! She was a good size baby but just solid and little. So we just took her home in a 2 piece outfit we only lived 2 blocks from the hospital anyways!! So this time I think I am going to send DH to get an outfit after she is born!!! ![]() ![]() |

by mommegof2 on Sep. 9, 2008 at 1:42 PMI brought my first 2 boys home in this gender neutral outfit. it's a one piece long sleeve with giraffes all over it and has a sailor collar in the back with a big giraffes face on it. I am not sure if I still have it but hoping I do so my third little guy can wear it home! Otherwise we will find something, no big deal to us! No one is ever here to greet us anyways! LOL! They come days after! |

by mrsray45 on Sep. 9, 2008 at 1:49 PMMy son will be coming home in his birthday suit....lol! I am having a home birth so we have no need to find an outfit....he will have that taken care of for us! My first son's outfit was a white sleeper with "Daddy's Little Boy" on the chest. It was so cute and I have is framed in a shadow box with his footprints, birthing announcement, first cap and pacifier. The outfit is also what I had his first pictures taken in at 12 days old. We skip on the hospital photos since they are so expensive. We use that photo money to get a tons of poses, and birth announcements made. I haven't decided on the outfit for first photos for this little guy. I am waiting until I have my baby shower.....my relatives and friends have great taste in clothes and I may very well end up with the perfect outfit from one fo them. |

by momofthree626 on Sep. 12, 2008 at 10:53 AMwith my first son, my mom picked out his goin home outfit before i had him. with my second my mil went after i gave birth to him since he was a surprise baby and she bought his. since dh wasnt around at the time of birth for those two i have made it up to him to go after i give birth, but he says its not right for just him to do it. so we are planning to wait till more warm stuff comes out at walmart and hope we find something we agree on........and if we dont find something before i have my man, daddy will buy something on his own......i have faith in him |
