Devastating wildfires across Los Angeles have destroyed hundreds of homes and forced thousands of people, including celebrities, to evacuate from the area.
As of Thursday afternoon, at least five people have died as the fires have burned down homes in Los Angeles including the Pacific Palisades, an affluent residential neighborhood tucked between the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.
Celebrities like Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis, and more have opened up about the devastation from the fires.

Paris Hilton
The former reality TV star shared news footage on Instagram showing her home burning. “Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” Paris Hilton said in a caption.
Mandy Moore
A star of the TV series This is Us, Mandy Moore and her children evacuated from their home, according to a post on her Instagram.
Mark Hamill
Star Wars actor Hamill said on Instagram that he evacuated Malibu “so last-minute” that there were “small fires on both sides of the road” as he approached the Pacific Coast Highway.
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag
Heidi Montag posted a TikTok saying she and husband Spencer Pratt lost their home, but were “thanking god” they were safe.
James Woods
Actor James Woods told CNN he lost his home to the fires.
Eugene Levy
Iconic actor Eugene Levy told the Los Angeles Times he evacuated his Palisades home.
Jamie Lee Curtis
The Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis was among those forced to evacuate as more than 30,000 people fled the Pacific Palisades as well as parts of Malibu and Santa Monica. Jamie Lee posted to Instagram that she and her family were safe, but she feared she and many friends could lose homes.
Billy Crystal
Billy Crystal’s home of 46 years burned down on Wednesday.
“Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing. We ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy,” he and his wife Janice told People magazine in a statement.
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Jennifer Love Hewitt shared a photo on Instagram of the fires from her car. She wrote, “I have no words. Only prayers and holding as much hope as I can for our home and our kids while we watch everything burn.”
Chet Hanks
Chet Hanks, the 34-year-old son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson shared an update with his Instagram followers regarding his hometown on Tuesday, saying it was “burning to the ground.”

According to People magazine, the home of Taran Kiliam, an SNL alum, actor and comedian, has burned down.

People magazine reported actor Miles Teller’s Pacific Palisades home, which he purchased in 2023, has burned in the wildfires.
Anthony Hopkins
The home of legendary 87-year-old actor Anthony Hopkins, which he often features in his TikTok, has faced major damage from the fires.
Kid Cudi
Rapper Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, posted on his Instagram story sharing that he had to evacuate late Wednesday night.
