Although Lindsay Clancy is on trial for the murder of her three young children after citing postpartum psychosis, there are other questions that the public has about her. Mainly, about her marriage to now ex-husband Patrick Clancy and when the pair got divorced following Lindsay’s 2023 arrest for charges of murder in the strangulation of hers and Patrick’s three young children. Because, some time after Lindsay was arrested and taken to jail, Patrick moved on with another woman.
In fact, they’re married now, and they have a whole other life together. After everything that happened in the few short years leading to the time he would be with and then marry his now wife, Patrick was able to somehow move on. And it’s that very idea that has people stroking their chains and wondering just what to think.
A lot changed in the three years after Lindsay and Patrick Clancy’s children died.

As new details emerge about the case and about what Lindsay’s defense team has argued as her reason for her mental health at the time of her children’s deaths, one surprising piece of information for some is the fact that Patrick married someone else in the time between the 2023 killings and 2026 trial. In a TikTok shared with alleged photos of Patrick and his second wife, users commented with lots of thoughts about him remarrying.
“Does he have the right to move on? Absolutely!” A user commented on the TikTok. “But is it still odd that his three children were murdered and he met someone, proposed to them, planned a wedding and married them in under three years? Absolutely.”
Someone also commented, “I support him moving on but a completely new life and family in three years is BONKERS.”
However, another person added, “He did not kill anyone. He lost all his children and his wife. He is not on trial. It’s been 3.5 years. He has a right to move on.”
Others noticed an interesting detail.
“She is the spitting image of Lindsay,” someone wrote.
Another person agreed: “This is f–ked. She looks just like Lindsay.”
And they aren’t wrong. Patrick’s second wife, whom he moved on with not long after Lindsay was arrested for the murder of their children, does bear a striking resemblance to his first wife, from the dark hair to specific facial features.
According to People, Patrick married a woman who works as a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist in New York City. And, after the crime took place in 2023, Patrick did not speak to his first wife again. They were divorced while she was in prison awaiting her trial.
People think Patrick Clancy also has a child with his second wife.

According to the TikTok, Patrick and his new wife also have a child together. No one has confirmed this, however, and although used in a Reddit thread have theorized this is what an attorney meant in the trial when referencing Patrick having a “family,” now, it’s not clear if that means he has children with his second wife.
Still, as for the public opinion on that bit of potential information? That, too, has gotten mixed reactions from people who aren’t quite sure how to feel about the possibility of Patrick having a new family and life following the grisly discovery of his children in his basement in early 2023.
“I wasn’t that appalled that he had a serious girlfriend already or that he remarried,” a Redditor commented on the post. “The having a baby thing is shocking. That means he basically met her right away after the kids’ deaths and got serious quick and then got married and immediately had a baby? All that fast? And his kids don’t even have justice yet.”
But others argued that this hasn’t been confirmed and is still only a rumor made possible by social media and other online forums.

According to Reuters, Lindsay pleaded not guilty to killing the three children she shared with Patrick in January 2023. Some of the audio from the 911 call heard in court includes Patrick finding his then-wife outside of their home after he returned from picking up dinner and a prescription for one of the children. During the call, he told the dispatcher that Lindsay had cuts on her wrists and neck from an attempt to die by suicide. During the call, Patrick discovered their children dead in their basement.
Lindsay’s attorney has argued that she was driven by postpartum mental illness and alleged “voices” that she heard shortly before her children were killed. It’s not totally clear how soon after the crimes Patrick and Lindsay got divorced, but by the time the trial began in July 2026, Patrick had moved on.
