It doesn't sound like Amanda Bynes will be heading home anytime soon. The former actress was taken to a psychiatric facility after having a mental health crisis in the days leading up to St. Patrick's Day weekend. TMZ has reported that the facility has no updates as to when Amanda will be released, prompting speculation that she is not doing well.

Amanda was taken in and put on a 5150 hold.
The 36-year-old had apparently been wandering the streets of LA for several days before she was spotted by a passing motorist. When the driver stopped, Amanda revealed that she was in crisis and asked if she could use the person's phone to call 911.
After police picked up Amanda, she was evaluated by mental health professionals and put on a 72-hour hold. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as if Amanda was able to get her mental condition back on track in that time frame.
She may remain at the mental health facility for up to 30 days.
Sources told the news outlet that Amanda's stay has already been extended for a week, but that may not be enough time to help the She's All That star get better. TMZ also speculated about how much Amanda even remembers from her time on the streets, saying she may not even be able to recall the events leading up to her 5150 hold.
Amanda has been keeping mum about everything.
Sources also revealed that Amanda hasn't let anyone inside her inner circle know anything either. They claim she hasn't been speaking to anyone who is close to her, leaving friends and fans alike in the dark about what's going on, including what the next steps will be once she's released.
Amanda's conservatorship was only terminated a year ago.
Much like Britney Spears, Amanda was placed into a conservatorship after a series of concerning and dangerous incidents. Although hers was not as controversial as Britney's was — and there have been no allegations of abuse leveled against Amanda's parents, unlike with Britney — fans were eager to see it come to an end in 2021.

As of now, there is no plan for what will happen when Amanda is finally released.
There don't appear to be any hints that Amanda's parents will once again ask for legal control over their daughter, but we can't help but wonder what's ahead for the former child star. Without any updates from Amanda or statements from the facility, it's unclear exactly what the next steps will be in Amanda's likely lengthy path to recovery.
