Halle Bailey Has Fans Gushing Over Her ‘Part of Your World’ Song for ‘The Little Mermaid’

We’ve got goosebumps! Fans are finally getting a chance to hear Halle Bailey’s performance of the hit song “Part of Your World” from the upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Although we never really had any doubt about Halle’s ability to pull off the role of Ariel, this seals the deal — she kills it!

Halle posted the clip for her 4.5 million Instagram followers.

The audio clip showcases her incredible singing chops as she absolutely nails the hit track from the original 1989 animated film.

“OMG y’all you can now listen now to the full ‘Part of Your World,’ performed by me from Disney’s The Little Mermaid on Spotify (link in bio). Only one month left until the movie,” Halle excitedly captioned the post.

Fans went absolutely wild over the preview.

The version that Halle shared on Instagram was just a snippet of the full track, but many fans hopped over to Spotify to listen to the entire song. They immediately started sharing their excitement with the 23-year-old actress.

“Halle, please. These vocals! I just wanted to have a normal Wednesday, but now I’ll be listening to this on repeat,” one person gushed.

The performance seemed to inspire many of Halle's followers.

“This movie is about to do numbers,” a fan wrote, predicting the film becoming a box office smash. “Y’all thought we showed out for Black Panther — watch this!”

Another addressed the controversy about the decision to cast a Black actress in the role of Ariel. “So glad they switched it up,” the person wrote. “Princesses are to be in every color, different shapes and sizes. Congratulations, Halle. Can’t wait to take my kids to see it when it comes out.”

Pal Keke Palmer also sent Halle some love.

It wasn’t just casual fans singing Halle’s praises (pun intended). Even her famous friends jumped into the comments to tell her how much she knocked the song out of the park.

“Halle, it’s truly breathtaking,” Keke exclaimed.

Fellow performer Sza wrote “come on now,” accompanied by a series of fire emojis.

We were already excited to see the movie, but now we can't wait.

The live-action version of The Little Mermaid was always on our “must-see” list, but after hearing Halle’s breathtaking performance, we know that we’re going to be talking about this movie long after we leave the theater.
