Kate Middleton has done it again. The Princess of Wales shared a peek into one of her favorite, long-time hobbies that she happens to share with her brother, James Middleton.
Not only were royal fans thrilled to learn a little more about Kate and how she spends time at home, but they also were genuinely surprised.
On May 20, a new photo of Kate was shared on the Instagram account that she shares with Prince William.
Typically, we see images shared of Kate when she’s out on an official royal engagement, and she’s usually dressed to perfection. So we’re used to seeing her dresses, gowns or, on occasion, more dressed down in pants, jeans, or shorts.
But the photo shared in honor of World Bee Day was a little different than those typical photos.
Kate was rocking a full beekeeping suit.
Covered from head to toe in the khaki-colored suit, Kate skillfully inspected the honeybee hive, and you can see her smile peek through the netting mask.
“We are buzzing about #WorldBeeDay,” the photo caption read, followed by a cute bee emoji.
The caption highlighted the importance of World Bee Day.
“Bees are a vital part of our ecosystem, and today is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the essential role bees, and other pollinators play in keeping people and the planet healthy,” the caption continued.
But this image wasn’t taken only to raise awareness for World Bee Day.
One of Kate’s hobbies is beekeeping.
According to People, Kate actually keeps bees at her home Anmer Hall on the Sandringham estate.
It’s a hobby she shares with her brother, James Middleton, and her mother-in-law, Queen Camilla.
“I have ten hives at Bucklebury & I’m fascinated by the little creatures,” James previously shared in 2019. “From their waggle dance to the queen laying her own body weight in eggs a day … there‘s a lot to be said about these humble little creatures.”
After posting the photo of Kate handling her bees, the comment section lit up with praise.
“Oooh, I remember The Princess bringing honey from her bees to an engagement and let the children taste it,” one person wrote. “Lovely photo!”
“Even in this outfit she looks stunning!” someone else pointed out. “Whatever she wears she always looks so classy and beautiful.”
“Is there anything that this lady cant do?” someone else questioned. “I dont think so.”
“Absolutely brilliant!! The Princess of Wales is full of surprises!,” another person admitted.
Someone else wrote, “William had definitely chose his princess the right way.”
“A very hardworking Princess,” added another fan.
They’re right; between beekeeping, playing the piano, and excelling at sports, it feels like Kate really can do it all.
