Drag racing and stunt driving are not only dangerous but also illegal in many places. Police in Atlanta recently pulled over a car in the middle of the night for dragging in the street and made a disturbing discovery. Officers reportedly found a child in the front seat of the vehicle, but that wasn’t the most unbelievable part of the evening. Police body cam footage captured a conversation with the juvenile’s father that shocked many people.
Per a press release from the City of Atlanta Police Department posted on Facebook, officers stopped Alexander Parrott’s vehicle around 2 a.m. June 7, 2025, for suspected dragging. Officers immediately noticed a child sitting in the front seat of the car.
The discovery upset police, who asked Parrott, “Are you crazy? You’ve got a child in the car. Are you crazy?”
The child, who appeared unharmed, did not belong to Parrott, but the two are related, per police. When the child’s father appeared a short time later, body cam footage picked up the father’s conversation with police.
“Ya’ll don’t think that’s insane to have a kid in a car while we’re doing that?” the officer asked the dad.
“But he had his seatbelt on,” the man replied, apparently trying to justify Parrott’s actions. The father quickly backpedaled and added, “But I do understand what you’re saying.”
The father’s comments shocked not only police but also Facebook users. One person made a rather pointed suggestion in the comment section.
“He had a seatbelt on?! Let’s crowdfund that a–clown a vasectomy,” the person wrote.
Per Fox 5, Parrott faces charges of obstruction of an intersection, reckless driving, laying drag, impeding the flow of traffic, modified exhaust, altered suspension, and failing to maintain lane.
“All arrests and photos are public information. An arrest does not mean that the individual has been or will be convicted of the crime. Individuals on this press release/post/video are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law,” police noted in the media release.
