Parenting is an incredible blessing filled with life-long challenges. When raising children, most parents will tell you that seeing their child in pain brings them pain. Whether that’s physical or emotional, it often feels like it’s killing us when we can’t take the pain on ourselves and make things easier for our children. Recently, an emotional father went viral for his reaction to his infant daughter receiving a vaccination, and it’s so relatable.
The video posted to @momos.usa on Instagram shows a father holding his infant in what appears to be a doctor’s office. The baby has no idea what will soon happen, but her daddy does, and he can hardly stand it. He cradles his young baby with tears in his eyes before the nurse even brings the needle to the girl’s chubby little thigh.
“He went to support his daughter during her vaccination, but emotions took over, and he ended up shedding more tears than the baby,” the caption reads. “A touching moment that shows the heart of a father.”
The baby wails from the unexpected poke of a sharp needle, and her daddy simply can’t take it. He closes his eyes and begins to cry huge tears. His empathy has caught the attention of more than 19 million people who all fell in love with the tender moment.
Parents totally understood how the dad felt.
“As a parent I can tell it‘s the hardest thing to see your child suffer. And this moment at the doctor‘s is very hard because you cannot take your child out of this situation,” someone shared. “You go through it with your child but it nearly breaks your heart knowing you‘re the one who ‘caused’ this pain for the child…even if you know it‘s for the best…”
Others loved seeing a father being vulnerable with his child.
“A father’s love is what the world needs to know again,” one viewer pointed out. “This is the love God has for you. It’s not weakness.”

If this is how he reacted to a vaccine, it’s not looking good for this doting dad in the future. As one person pointed out, “Omg hes cooked at her wedding.”
We adore this sweet moment between the daddy and his daughter. If only every child was so lucky to be loved this much.
