Trisha Paytas, 37, is expecting her third baby with husband Moses Hacmon, 47. The couple, who are parents to Malibu Barbie, 2, and Elvis, 13 months, are known for choosing unique names for their babies.
In a recent episode of her podcast Just Trish, the influencer spoke about some of the names she is considering for her baby-to-be. Originally, Trisha believed she was having a third daughter, so she had some girl names in mind.
On the podcast, Trisha explained, “We really changed once we found out we were [having] a boy, because I had all girl names. Like I had Furby and Sugar Cookie and Paper Mate.”
We’d argue that those aren’t exactly names, but Trisha has always enjoyed bucking tradition, especially when it comes to monikers for her kids.
“But we then we started going this weird route, which we, I never thought about before, which is like movie posters, which is weird because, obviously, Malibu, we have the Barbie,” Trisha continued. “So it doesn’t really even correlate. But I was like, we have to have a movie poster because we had the Barbie poster and the Elvis poster. We have to have another iconic name poster up in our house. So it kinda switched with this last one.”
Although she likes the movie poster theme, Trisha hasn’t chosen a name for this baby yet.
“When it was a boy, we’re like, OK,” Trisha explained on the podcast. “If it’s, like, Aaliyah, we’re like, OK. Lion King or we’re really on ‘King’ for some reason, like, King Tut or like, we were really on these names. I loved Aladdin for so long. So I was like, that goes with our movie poster name, Aladdin.”
Because her baby-to-be will be a Cancer, Trisha is also considering water-themed movie names, like Titanic and names from Waterworld.
And for anyone who thinks they’re just setting themselves up for criticism, Trisha and Moses are used to getting backlash for the names they’ve chosen. After all, Malibu Barbie and Elvis aren’t traditional options.
No matter what name they choose for their third baby, we can all be sure it’ll be something unique!
