Apparently, when your dad is Donald Trump, being in the White House is a family business. Plenty of Americans have seen Trump’s older sons by his side during his second term as president, but what about daughter Ivanka Trump? The two-time president shares Ivanka with his first wife, Ivana Trump, and she is his oldest daughter. Now, she is headed to the White House in a gig that no one saw coming, per CBS News.
Until now, Ivanka has steered clear of any role under her father’s presidency. Don’t get it twisted, because she is as close to Trump as any of her siblings. But, in 2022, she said in a statement according to NBC News that she planned to leave Washington, D.C. behind for good. She cited her children as the main reason for not wanting to be involved in politics. Apparently, that changed.
Donald Trump’s White House role for daughter Ivanka Trump is unexpected.
UFC CEO Dana White revealed to CBS Mornings that, come July 4, 2026, the White House will host a mixed martial arts fight on the White House lawn. No, this won’t be a version of backyard wrestling that you might find at the home of one of Trump’s most dedicated supporters. Instead, it’s a planned event that White said Ivanka is part of as her new White House role.
“When he called me and asked me to do it, he said, ‘I want Ivanka in the middle of this,'” White shared with CBS Mornings. “So Ivanka reached out to me, and her and I started talking about the possibilities, where it would be and, you know, I put together all the renderings.”
According to The Independent, Ivanka is an apparent fan of MMA cage matches because she has attended them with Trump before. It’s not clear what role Ivanka will have in the planning and execution of the planned MMA fight at the White House in 2026.
She also has not publicly commented on it, but if this is Trump’s way of getting his oldest daughter back into the fold, it’s not a total shock to those who have seen Ivanka ringside with her dad before.
After White shared the news of the MMA event and Ivanka’s involvement, the U.S. Homeland Security News account on X (formerly Twitter) took it a step further by sharing what appears to be an AI rendering of the event in a social media post.
Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, have three kids. When she swore off politics in 2022, they were a bit younger. Now, her oldest is a teenager. That could be why she apparently feels ready to re-enter the scene and head back to the White House.
But for now, other than definitely not fighting or acting as a referee, Ivanka’s role is a little unclear.
