With her husband Josh Duggar in prison, Anna Duggar has been selling puppies to make money. News of Anna’s controversial dog breeding business broke in 2024, and now, a new report suggests that she’s selling the golden retriever puppies for $2,000 each.
In 2024, The Sun reported that Anna started a business called Golden Grove Pups, LLC. An Instagram account for the business includes many photos and videos of golden retrievers and encourages prospective pet parents to reach out if they’re interested in purchasing a puppy. On September 9, 2025, the publication reported that Anna appears to be charging people $2,000 for the golden retriever pups.
“Looking for a furry friend? Just $2,000. They are ready to come home in one week,” a post from the account read. Critics called Anna’s prices “excessive” and said they actually left them “speechless.”
On Instagram, Anna’s business claims to sell “English Cream AKC Golden Retrievers.” The page’s bio also states, “Elevating the standard of companionship…Elegant ✨ Distinguished ✨ Loyal.”
Anna’s dog breeding business has been controversial from the very beginning. When the business first came to light, one critic wrote, “I feel bad for any dog who is owned by the Duggars. Hope this isn’t the next big criminal scandal coming out of the Duggar compound.”
Just this month, Redditors continued to criticize her for it. “I’m so grossed out that she is now making money by selling puppies. Breeders gonna breed, I guess,” one of them wrote. A second critic called Anna “irresponsible” and “unethical” and claimed that she “clearly cares more about profit than the preservation and protection of Golden Retrievers.”
According to The Sun, Anna’s golden retriever videos were recorded in the home her father-in-law, Jim Bob, purchased in April 2025. Jim Bob reportedly purchased the home for $1,000,000. A source previously said the Arkansas home is located near Jim Bob and Michelle’s compound.
