If you have the world’s smallest phallic-shaped violin, feel free to break it out now and play a little tune for celebrity sex tape pioneer Kevin Blatt. He spoke to Fox News and revealed that, because of OnlyFans, his career has suffered a ton. This is the man behind celebrity sex tapes like 1 Night in Paris, starring Paris Hilton. Now that content creators are making their own adult content and using OnlyFans to make money from it, Kevin has apparently suffered financially.
There was a time when surprise sex tapes starring legitimate celebrities were dropped on the unsuspecting public and people ate them up. If they didn’t buy the tape or DVD themselves, they rushed to the deepest corners of the internet to find the videos and see what all the fuss was about. Unfortunately for Kevin, like Tab and Beanie Babies, physical celebrity sex tapes are a thing of the past.
Celebrity sex tape broker Kevin Blatt blasts OnlyFans.
Kevin spoke to Fox News about the way the adult film business has changed for him. His career was never about physically getting in there to film adult movies, but he did help release 1 Night in Paris. And through the company he worked for at one point, Red Light District Video, the movie 1 Night in China, starring wrestling superstars Chyna (Joanie Laurer) and Sean Waltman, was also released.
Now, he told Fox News, with OnlyFans here to help people get their sex tapes off the ground running and to the screens of people who want to see them, that part of his career is long gone.
“There just isn’t that potential to make any money, not the way that we used to,” he explained. “It’s a different day and age now. The technology’s changed it all. With sites like OnlyFans, you could put up your own content. … Now you put out a sex tape just to become a blip on the radar for TMZ or the national news to talk about.”
With the changing industry, Kevin’s job is also different. Instead of helping celebrities get their sex tapes out there to further their reach as stars, he helps them scrub the internet of misinformation or videos that they don’t want out to be seen.
“That’s what I do a lot these days,” he told Fox News. “Help people take down videos and information off the internet. But the bottom line is you can’t make money because of the privacy laws that are in place and the platforms that are readily accessible.”
Kevin also said because the days of sex tapes are now “over,” celebrities and content creators looking to do adult content work without actually being in an adult film can turn to OnlyFans. Maybe that means OnlyFans helped to kill his original job as a sex tape broker, but the times might have changed on him regardless.
