Not much will make people forget that Melania Trump is the Grinch of the White House, but maybe her special MAGA ornaments might do the trick. I mean, probably not, but hey, it’s worth a shot. There is a full collection of official ornaments in honor of the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026, and the ornaments are put out by the White House, according to HuffPost. You can buy them on the website, but they will each cost a pretty penny.
Can you put a price on liberty, though? Well, if you ask Melania, you can, because the ornaments start at $75 and go up to $90. Given the first lady’s comments in 2020 about organizing holiday events for the White House, it’s honestly surprising that she is all for celebrating the holidays at all, but I guess if it means getting some of that hard-earned American cash back in the hands of the government, you can’t really turn it down.

There are official MAGA Christmas ornaments, so get them while you can…or don’t.
The Christmas ornaments offered by the White House and by Melania for the American people include the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, a star, the Empire State Building, American flags with fireworks, and a simple USA design. Melania said in a statement, according to The Hill, “This year, I sought inspiration in our Nation’s upcoming 250th birthday, and all of the holiday blessings that we enjoy as Americans.”
After the ornaments were rolled out online, all of which reportedly take weeks to ship and may not even arrive for the 2025 holiday season, critics dogged Melania about them on social media.
One user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “‘Tis the Season for grifting,” calling Melania a grifter for asking Americans to pay top dollar for something like a Christmas tree ornament.
Someone else posted, “Are these ornaments purchased with taxpayer money & now being sold by a Trump? When will it end?”
Another pointed out questions about where the materials came from to make the ornaments. “Are the ornaments even made in the US?” They wrote on X. “Is there a tariff to be paid, or are exceptions made for Trump merch?”
In case you need a refresher, during Donald Trump’s first term in the White House, leaked comments exposed Melania’s complaints about organizing Christmas events and being in charge of charitable donations during the holiday season. Per NPR, in 2018 Melania said to her then-friend, “I’m working… my a– off on the Christmas stuff, that, you know, who gives a f— about the Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?”
She also said, per the leaked recordings, in reference to children separated from their parents dur to deportations at the time, “And then I do it and I say that I’m working on Christmas and planning for Christmas and they said, ‘Oh, what about the children that they were separated from?’ Give me a f—— break.”
Now, it seems, the Christmas spirit is alive and well in Melania. Sure, Jan.
