Less than two years after finalizing her divorce from ex-husband Kevin Costner, Christine Baumgartner has officially remarried. According to People, the 51-year-old enjoyed a “magical” wedding celebration on Saturday, October 18. But honestly, it all sounds a bit messy given that Christine’s husband, Josh Connor, is Kevin’s former friend. Yikes.
Josh was reportedly a neighbor and family friend while Christine and Kevin were still together.
Before Christine filed for divorce from Kevin in May 2023, she and Kevin were both friends with their neighbor. Apparently, that friendship between Christine and Josh provided “a really strong foundation” for a romantic relationship, an insider previously told People.
Not long after Christine filed for divorce, she was spotted traveling with Josh. By January 2024, a source claimed that the couple had already been dating for months. On January 26, 2025, Josh proposed to Christine.
They’re excited for this ‘new beginning.’
Insiders told People that Christine and Josh’s wedding was intimate, as they’re simply focused on “building an authentic, joy-filled life together.” To outsiders, it might seem like the romance progressed quickly, but friends of the couple were not at all surprised by their relatively quick engagement. Early on, they felt “so in love” and Christine felt “so happy and supported” in her relationship with Josh.
She and Kevin were married for 18 years.
They finalized their divorce in February 2024. Their divorce made headlines for being super contentious. While married, they welcomed three children together: Cayden, 18, Hayes, 16, and Grace, 15. In the aftermath of their divorce, Kevin has sparked romance rumors with numerous different women, including Sharon Stone, Jewel, and Jennifer Lopez. Most recently, multiple outlets reported that the Yellowstone star appears to be “casually” dating director Kelly Noonan.
A source told the Daily Mail that Kevin is hesitant to get too serious and make his relationship public due to all of the drama that was made public during his divorce from Christine. The insider claimed that Kevin is “happy again after a very dark time in his life.” So, maybe he wasn’t too bothered by his former friend marrying his ex-wife?
