It’s Not AI — My Toddler Is Half My Size & People Need To Stop Commenting About His Body

The average newborn baby weighs about 7 pounds. Of course, moms give birth to babies who are much bigger and much smaller every day. Genetics often play a role in a baby’s size, and other times, a baby’s size comes as a big surprise to their parents. At 7 months old, Chloe Sutton’s son, Grizzly Odell, was half of his mother’s size. He’s so big that many people online think Sutton uses AI to change Grizzly’s appearance, but she swears he’s all natural.

Sutton, a mom of one from Australia, shares health, wellness, and lifestyle content on social media. She loves physical fitness and eating healthy, and often shares food and exercise tips. Sutton keeps her body in top shape while balancing life as a mom of a busy toddler. Her son, Grizzly, is a healthy toddler who just happens to be big. Sutton finds herself constantly fighting online trolls who comment on her child’s size.

In September 2024, Sutton shared a video on her TikTok, @chloesapic, holding onto Grizzly and announcing he was half her size at less than a year. The video racked up nearly 34 million views, and people couldn’t believe the baby’s size. The jokes began in the comment section.

“He will go to college next month, isn’t he,” someone joked.“At 2 years old and he’ll carry you,” another person wrote.

In a more recent video, Sutton shared that many people think she uses artificial intelligence to make Grizzly appear bigger, but she shut that down very quickly.

“He is not AI,” she said. “This is my son. He’s 18 months old. He’s just a big baby.”

Once again, the jokes started, such as this person who asked, “Did he give birth to you?”

“We went to college together, great guy,” another commenter joked.

Sutton clapped back with a video showing Grizzly’s father, who stands at 6 feet 2 inches tall. Grizzly’s dad held the baby and reiterated that Sutton’s videos aren’t “clickbait.” Grizzly still looks big when his father holds him.

All joking aside, Grizzly is a happy and healthy toddler. His parents clearly take good care of him and love him dearly. This is a great reminder that commenting on someone else’s body is never OK, no matter their size or age. People may think they’re just being funny and silly, but unlike AI, this is a real family with real feelings.
