Giada de Laurentiis’ Lookalike Daughter Shares Big News About Her Future

Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis has always been close with her teenage daughter, Jade, and now, they’re preparing for a big change in their family dynamic. This week, Giada took to Instagram to share a video of the moment that Jade found out she was accepted to college — how sweet is this?!

Giada is clearly one proud celebrity mom, but there’s no doubt she’s going to miss her so much next year.

The video shows Giada and Jade in the moment they found out she was accepted.

In the video, it looks like Giada and Jade are gathered around the computer screen as they wait for the page to load that will tell them if Jade was accepted to college — though they didn’t specify which school she was waiting to hear from.

“This is me seeing if I get into college,” Jade says to the camera. “I’m actually so scared, I can’t click the button.”

After a little hesitation, she does… and her entire face lights up as she finds out that she was accepted. Cue the celebrating from her and her mom!

The comments are filled with congratulations for Jade.

After watching Jade grow up over the years, it’s no wonder that so many of her mom’s followers flooded the comments to congratulate her and marvel over how quickly she’s grown up.

“Lord I remember when you announced you were expecting a child and then seeing Jade on your show after she was born,” one fan wrote. “Congratulations Jade!!”

Another commenter said, “I know that college will be one of the best times of your life. It was for me. There is no other chapter of life like it. Enjoy every minute and learn lots! Congratulations.”

Earlier this year, they went on a college tour road trip.

This is a step that Giada and Jade have been preparing to for a long time. In March, Giada shared a photo on Instagram from their trip around the country, visiting the different colleges that Jade was interested in.

“Road tripping with my girl (& in denial that we’re officially on the college hunt),” the proud mom wrote at the time, adding a few crying emojis for good measure. Anyone who’s been there with their kids will get it!

Congratulations, Jade! We can’t wait to find out more about her upcoming college journey.
