What to Know
It has been three years since Brooklyn Beckham began feuding with parents David and Victoria Beckham, and it doesn’t seem like they’re any closer to finding a resolution. In fact, after this week’s developments, if anything, it sounds like the situation between the family is only becoming more contentious.
Victoria, David, and Brooklyn are no longer following each other on social media, and it seems that his parents aren’t following his wife, Nicola Peltz, either. Yikes!
The change in their social media followings seemed to have taken place earlier this week.
As multiple outlets including People reported, David, Victoria, Beckham, and Nicola all seem to have stopped following each other on Instagram, but that’s not all. Brooklyn also isn’t following his younger brothers, Cruz and Romeo, who do not follow him back. Since his younger sister, Harper, has a private account, it’s hard to say if she was part of the culling or not.
Considering there hadn’t seemed to be a public blowup that led to this, it was all pretty confusing… until Cruz took to his Instagram Stories to clear things up.
Brooklyn’s brother, Cruz, has already spoken out about the situation.
In a since-expired post on his Instagram Stories, Cruz shared a screenshot of a Daily Mail article that claimed that Victoria and David had unfollowed Brooklyn so he could set the record straight.
“NOT TRUE,” he wrote. “My mum and dad would never unfollow their son … Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I.”
While the couple hasn’t released an official statement on the situation, a rep for Victoria told People that Cruz “was responding to stories that [his] parents had unfollowed their son, which isn’t true.”
Reportedly, Brooklyn blocked his family because Victoria liked one of his posts.
A new report from The Sun claims that Brooklyn decided to unfollow his parents and siblings after he noticed that Victoria clicked “like” on one of his recent cooking videos.
A source told the outlet that David and Victoria are “heartbroken.”
“All they want is for things to be fixed but with every week they just seem to be getting worse,” the insider said. “Unsurprisingly, Cruz and Romeo are furious that Brooklyn would make such a public attack. As for Brooklyn, he wants things fixed in private and not played out on social media, although his actions have resulted in quite the opposite.”
