This Unique Urgent Care Marriage Proposal Is Going Viral for All the Right Reasons

There are marriage proposals that take place in the middle of a crowded restaurant and ones that happen by the water when you’re on a romantic vacation. But have you heard of one taking place in an urgent care clinic? Not too often, but it did happen to a woman in Brooklyn, New York, who hurt her wrist just before Valentine’s Day. Her boyfriend arranged for an X-ray at their local urgent care to make sure everything was healing properly. Little did she know that he had planned a super sweet surprise marriage proposal involving a hand X-ray to make her completely swoon!

This has got to be one of the most original marriage proposals to hit social media.

The CityMD urgent care clinic in Downtown Brooklyn, New York, shared on their Instagram page an adorable reel showcasing clips from a couple’s engagement that took place in their facility with a doctor, nurse, and medical technician in the room, per People.

With a clever caption that reads “Here’s to being each other’s emergency contacts for life!” followed by two heart emojis, the reel shows 27-year-old Anais Berman and her then-boyfriend, Justin Wright, getting down on one knee as the clinic helped surprise Anais with an X-ray of a wrist showcasing some serious new bling, per People.

Anais can be heard in the reel expressing her complete shock as she asks, “Are you serious?” This proposal would make anyone smile!

The comments on this post are all about celebrating love and a happily ever after.

You really can’t successfully pull off something like this without a little help. When Anais slipped on black ice and hurt her wrist while walking home, her boyfriend decided to take advantage of the situation and try and put together a surprise proposal with the help of the CityMD urgent care clinic, per People.

On the morning of February 12, 2026, Justin picked up the 3.47 carat yellow canary diamond ring and headed to CityMD to schedule an appointment for his then-girlfriend and to let them in on his plan, per People. Luckily for the happy couple, the team at CityMD agreed to help, per the magazine.

An individual in the comments of the reel expressed their enthusiasm and said, “Love wins! Thank you for making this happen for them!!! A story that will be told for a long time!” followed by a couple of heart emojis. We second those emojis!

So, did he really pull off a big surprise or did she know about his plan all along?

If you’ve watched the reel, you have to realize that there’s really no faking that kind of shock, especially when it comes to something as life-changing as a marriage proposal.

“I turned to Justin and I was beyond shocked. I couldn’t have been more surprised,” Anais told People. “It did not feel real. Justin pulled it off in the most amazing way. I’ve never been so surprised in my life.” Is anyone else tearing up?

The CEO of CityMD, Navienne Dunkley, told People that the clinic is “honored to be part of the happy couple’s special moment that will last a lifetime.”

Now we really can’t help but wonder if they’re going to plan their wedding at a venue that’s super unique as well. Only time will tell!
