Prince Harry’s Flirty Text Messages With Female Reporter Leaked

When you’re a part of the royal family, even a member who has formally stepped down from their duties, it seems like there’s always going to be chatter online about what you’re up to and who you’re talking to, even someone from your past. As a part of the proceedings in London for the civil suit that Prince Harry brought against Associated Newspapers Limited, who now own the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, some flirty text messages were revealed with the court between a reporter that the Prince claimed not to know very well and himself. Let’s just say, even though these text exchanges were from over 10 years ago, some are quite juicy!

These flirty messages showcase a bit of a teasing display between the Prince and the reporter.

According to RadarOnline.com, Prince Harry might not have all bad feelings towards reporters. Even though his former testimony claimed that the he had only met the Mail on Sunday reporter, Charlotte Griffiths, just once, their online texting relationship may say something slightly different.

Presented to the High Court on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, RadarOnline.com reported that the pair became Facebook friends in 2011, which led to Prince Harry giving the reporter his private phone number. Okay, this is interesting information.

They both attended a party together in June 2011, which led to the pair having a cheeky text exchange the following morning. Prince Harry sent an introductory Facebook message that read, “It’s H, in case you were confused by name and picture!!! X.” Griffiths, who was MOS‘s deputy editor at the time, wrote, “Hello Mr Mischief… Did you get home OK slash did you actually find your car and did you beat Arthur down the motorway more importantly?!”

Okay, here we have what appears to be a cute nickname for a person that you claim to not know very well. Sure, that makes sense. Plus, it also seems like there’s an inside joke in there as well, which usually exists between friends. Right?

The pair seem to be quite fond of the time they spent together over a weekend, which included a flirty nickname.

RadarOnline.com reported that Charlotte then wrote, “What a fun weekend of naughtiness — can’t we all get up to no good in the countryside every weekend, damn it? Smooches, CG String. Xxx.” Wow. A weekend of naughtiness? What exactly happened on this weekend in the countryside that led to such debauchery?

Prince Harry wrote back to Charlotte that his weekend was “without doubt the best of those weekends I’ve been to. What a crowd. Never laughed so much in 24hrs!” Well, you really can’t shame the guy for enjoying a few laughs, because who doesn’t like to laugh?

The former duke also joked about the nickname that Charlotte professed in their text exchange. He wrote, “Mr mischief? How do I get that title… I was surely no worse than anyone else!!” Yeah, we’re fairly curious about how you got that title as well.

After some complaints about “withdraw symptoms” and some boring royal duties he wasn’t too fond of performing — honestly, can’t blame him there — Prince Harry told Charlotte, “Hope work isn’t too dull wherever [you] are?!”

Are we reading a bit too much into this, but is he fully wondering where she is and what she’s up to? Maybe it’s just polite pleasantries, but you never know.

There’s even mention of some ‘movie snuggles’ in one of their text exchanges.

RadarOnline.com shared that in December 2011, Prince Harry messaged Charlotte that she “missed a good party last night.” A few weeks later in January 2012, Charlotte used a playful name to address the Prince when she called him “H Bomb” and told him that “We missed you so much at Arthur’s last week.” Presumably, it seems that he missed out on either another fun weekend or gathering with friends.

Prince Harry, who was in training as an Army Air Corps pilot at the time, told Charlotte that “I WISH I was there sugar but unfortunately stuck in Cornwall doing Army stuff 🙁 Otherwise I would have been there playing and then drinking [you] under the table, obvi!!”

He then added, “Just wish I could have been there … especially now that you’re there!” He ended this message with “Miss our movie snuggles!!”

What do you think the “movie snuggles” comment alludes to? Did these two possibly get cozy on the sofa during one of these much talked about parties they attended in 2011 and 2012? Their possible canoodling is all in the past, but it’s certainly fun to think about!
