Travis Kelce & Patrick Mahomes’s Steakhouse Got Dragged for a $650 Dinner Gone Wrong

Chances are, if you’re a football fan or even a Swiftie, you’ve likely heard of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’s Kansas City steakhouse, 1587 Prime, which opened its doors in the fall of 2025. The website calls it a “contemporary steakhouse with Kansas City spirit,” whatever that means. If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience with delicious food, this should be the place to try. A woman took to TikTok to share her dining experience at 1587 Prime, including the food and service, and let’s say she was less than satisfied with both. Have you been planning a trip to Kansas City with this restaurant at the top of your list? You might want to check out this firsthand review before booking your reservation!

Well, when someone visits your restaurant and then heads to social media to call it the “worst fine dining experience [she’s] ever had,” you may want to take some time to retune some things.

A woman with the handle knick-knacks took to TikTok to share a very honest (maybe too honest for some circles) account of her experience dining at Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’s fine-dining steakhouse, 1587 Prime. She did not mince words.

Firstly, she shared that it took a whopping 45 minutes to get their martinis, which would be decent timing if you had just waited three-quarters of an hour for your entire meal or even some appetizers, but just for your drinks? That’s a long wait with a dry mouth!

She goes on to share that their server that evening didn’t explain the experience to them, so they had no idea they would be served their drinks by someone coming to their table with a bar cart. The woman also explained that their server supposedly dropped off a sheet of paper to fill out and “then disappeared.”

She said that when the bar cart arrived, it’s basically just someone “making a martini in front of you” and it’s “not a real great experience.” Also, the martini itself was $33. Yikes. She’s seriously not selling us on the whole bar cart experience!

She claims the steakhouse did not deliver on the $100 steaks.

She goes on to say they tried a fried chicken dish to start, which she claims was “not good” and not worth the $25 price tag. That is some pricey fried chicken!

She explained that the table ordered $15 steak sauces to go with steak dinners, but they were forgotten when their meals were served. She said that by the time the sauces arrived at the table, her one friend was pretty much done with their steak. That’s disappointing.

Also, her $100 steak was not cooked to her specifications, but she couldn’t tell their server because “you couldn’t find her to save your life.”

She does have one nice thing about a menu item: the broccolini. She claims it was “the best thing [they] ordered.” So, there’s your heads up on the broccolini!

She also states that “the fastest thing [their] server did was collect the bill”, which was a hefty $650, for a meal that sounds pretty meh. That’s massively disappointing!

She claims that this place has nothing on Gibsons Steakhouse in Chicago.

As someone who didn’t have the greatest experience at 1587 Prime, this woman shared on TikTok that when she visited Chicago, they went to a steakhouse called Gibsons. It was so good they went back two nights in a row. That says a lot!

She explained that they walked them through the entire menu, which included showing them actual cuts of meat. If you’re a steak person, this sounds very fancy and important. She also shared that she had “the best dessert of [her] life,” which looked like a super tall slice of something sweet. Also, she said that her drink was never empty at Gibsons either. Bonus!

She ends her review by telling, “Travis Kelce and Mahomes, please go to Gibsons and see what they’re doing and do that!” A bit harsh perhaps, but she sounded very unimpressed.

Hopefully, the 1587 Prime has a team taking notes from people’s social media reviews and bringing them back to management, because it sounds like there are still some kinks to work out!
