You would think that the Duggar family would be all about flying under the radar amid Joseph Duggar’s scandal involving his child molestation charges. But apparently, they are doing anything but that, since Joy-Anna Duggar posted in her Instagram Stories about visiting the White House with husband Austin Forsyth.
But, immediately after she shared the photos to her Stories, people proceeded to drag her mercilessly on Reddit, as people tend to do. Those who can’t stand the Duggars as a whole had a field day calling out Joy-Anna for her photos and the fact that her post comes at such a wild time in the family’s history.

According to Joy-Anna’s Instagram Stories and the photos she shared, she and Austin might have taken the trip together, solo. While there isn’t really anything wrong with that, the fact that Joy-Anna so blatantly celebrates visiting D.C. with Donald Trump in the White House just confirms for many where she and other members of the Duggar family stand with the Trump Administration.
“And they’ll obviously excuse and endorse Trump’s AI photo of him as Jesus as well because they have the shared intelligence of two brain cells between them,” someone commented on the Reddit thread.
Another joked, “Fascists? In the White House? Groundbreaking.”
“Like these two know anything about government,” an especially snarky critic of the Duggars wrote. “I highly doubt they know much of anything about the history of our country. Three branches of government??? Say what????”
Others joked that they visited the White House to get pardons for Josh Duggar and Joseph. And, while some questioned how they ere able to get a tour, people pointed out that essentially anyone can do it, even if Joy-Anna and Austin want to make themselves seem like D.C. A-listers.
The person who originally shared the post on Reddit wrote, “It absolutely disgusts me how this family supports pedophiles.”
Is it a total surprise that Joy-Anna is firmly embedded in the MAGA of it all, though? No, not in the least.
People hate how the Duggars follow Trump without question.
Other people in the comments on the Reddit post pointed out how Joy-Anna and the rest of the Duggar family will likely always be Trump supporters and part of the MAGA crowd. Some also commented that visiting the White House doesn’t prove this, but that visiting during Trump’s second term as president sort of drives that point home. You know, just in case anyone thought that Joy-Anna wearing pants meant she is thinking for herself now.
Someone even commented, “I would never visit the White House during this administration. I know they’re just hoping to run into someone from the Trump family.”
“They’re so brainwashed that they probably think anything bad Trump does is a smear campaign or AI,” a user wrote.
Another commenter added, “They are all MAGA. Even if one of them deep down hated Trump, they would never reveal that publicly. The social consequences would be too dire. They would be deemed as “lost” and shunned by their family.”
Joy-Anna Duggar’s other Instagram posts are a little odd, considering everything happening.
Despite Joseph facing serious charges, his wife Kendra Duggar’s own charges and issues with her family, and the damage control that patriarch Jim Bob Duggar is likely doing behind the scenes, Joy-Anna is living her best life, it seems. Maybe it’s all about saving face, but her seemingly normal posts on Instagram certainly make it seem like it’s all business as usual.
Before Joy-Anna posted in her Stories about hers and Austin’s D.C. trip, she shared some of her promotional codes for products. She has also posted about her normal everyday life raising her three kids as a stay-at-home mom. The timing of everything is just, for many people, off.
