What to Know
Police in Cocoa, Florida, received a strange call on June 7, 2026. A woman was reportedly driving erratically by an apartment complex with multiple children present, and it appeared intentional. Pamela Dresser, 59, allegedly drove a Mazda pickup truck toward a group of children and then into a parking lot, where she continued driving aggressively. When police arrived on the scene, Dresser apparently didn’t deny the allegations and made some disturbing comments.
Dresser apparently made a big scene.
According to court documents obtained by People, the incident took place just before 7 p.m. on Rosa L. Jones Drive. It began in front of the apartment complex and continued in the parking lot. The erratic driving reportedly included high speeds and multiple donut-style spins. Dresser allegedly told the children’s mother she intentionally drove into the crowd, according to an affidavit. “Yes, I did try to run your f—–g children over,” Dresser said.
When the parent confronted Dresser, she reportedly stuck up her middle finger and called her a “f—–g (racial epithet),” according to court documents.
Dresser denied the allegations.

When officers arrived, they noted Dresser was in a “highly agitated state.” A witness claimed they saw Dresser attempt to swerve into a crowd of children. When talking with the police, Dresser claimed she made a wide turn to avoid hitting a cart. She then told police she drove down a gravel road to do some “donuts.” After parking her car, a mother reportedly asked her if she was trying to hurt the children. Dresser allegedly called it “target practice,” insisting to police that it was a joke.”
Dresser’s alleged actions made for a lively social media debate.
Some wondered whether the kids were intentionally in Dresser’s way.
“I would never think of doing anything like this but it is really annoying when you’re following a group of kids riding 6 across the road doing stunts on their bikes from one end of the neighborhood to the other at 10 or less mph…we (5 cars) kept having to stop while they road around in circles,” a comment reads.
Others wanted to hear more and maybe catch up with Dresser. “Brevard is a big county, care to tell us approximately what city or town this happened in?”
“I can show her target practice if she needs help,” a reader suggested.
The mom’s self-control impressed this person. “I hope she never gets out, that’s complete bull—t and that mom should have been whipping her a– till the cops got there,” they wrote.
Dresser apparently didn’t back down.

According to court documents, when police went to interview a witness, Dresser allegedly told officers she had “a special present” for them. She then doubled down, confirming, “That is a threat.” Police arrested her on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge. She’s in jail on a $250,000 bond and due in court on July 2.
