Body Cam Footage Captures Bride’s Killer Asking ‘For What?’ After Being Arrested for Fatal Wedding Crash

On April 28, 2023, it should have been the beginning of a long and beautiful life for Samantha Miller and Aric Hutchinson. The pair married that day in Folly Beach, South Carolina, and were headed back from their wedding reception in a golf cart with two other people when Jamie Lee Komoroski crashed into them with her car.

Tragically, Miller died in the accident, and the others sustained serious injuries. Newly released body cam footage shows a hysterical Komoroski begging for her dad and denying intoxication. Her behavior sickened many people online.

Komoroski declined a field sobriety test.

According to WCSC, Komoroski was driving 65 miles per hour when she slammed her car into the golf cart. When police arrived on the scene, a Folley Beach police officer’s body camera captured the then-25-year-old Komoroski denying intoxication. She told the officer she had a beer and a single tequila drink.

When police told her she was under arrest, she asked, “For what?” Komoroski asked. Police responded they were suspicious of driving under the influence; she responded, “How do you know?” Receipts from multiple bars show Komoroski consumed much more alcohol that night before the crash and refused a breathalyzer.

Komoroski argued with police.

A more than 1-hour video captured Komoroski arguing with police, wanting to call her father. The police calmly explained to her that she was being held for suspected drunk driving, which she continually asked police to prove. Instead, Komoroski spent her time talking with officers about their favorite ice cream and cereal flavors.

As she was handcuffed with her hands behind her, sitting in the chair with her shirt open and bra exposed, it almost feels like she’s trying to flirt her way out of the police station.

Many found Komoroski’s behavior deplorable.

They didn’t hold back in the YouTube comment section.

“She thought she would flirt with the first cop, and he was having none of it!” Someone wrote.

“No, you can’t call your Dad. You’re a grown a– adult. You don’t need your daddy in the room,” another person added.

This person didn’t hold back. “Regardless of being drunk, she really showed the type of person she is. She is so selfish and only cared about herself the whole time and she knows she did something completely wrong and the situation was serious and just acted like a brat. This footage being played for a judge is damning and the officer repeatedly adviced her that she is being recorded,” they wrote.

Police ultimately took her to a hospital for a blood test.

According to court documents, a blood test revealed Komoroski’s blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit. In December 2024, Komoroski pleaded guilty to one count of felony DUI, two counts of DUI causing great bodily injury or death, and one count of reckless homicide. She faces 25 years in prison

“I feel like the punishment fit the crime,” Aric Hutchinson said. “I do think she’s sorry. However, that doesn’t change the fact that Sam’s not here, my wife’s not here, the family we planned, all of our injuries. So that’ll take some time for sure.”
