Travis Barker had fans pretty concerned this week when he shared photos of himself in a hospital bed with Kourtney Kardashian and his daughter, Alabama, with him on Tuesday with absolutely zero explanation. While Travis has been open about certain medical procedures he’s undergone in the past, this time, he hadn’t hinted that he had anything planned ahead of time, leaving some fans worried that there had been an emergency.
Now, Travis has finally shared what’s going on with his health. He couldn’t have done that from the start?!
Travis shared the cryptic photos on Tuesday.
Outlets including Page Six captured screenshots of Travis’ alarming Instagram Stories from Tuesday, which he presented with no introduction.
The first photo was of Travis in a hospital bed, wearing a hair net and gown as he hangs out in some sort of hospital room. His 20-year-old daughter, Alabama, sits in a chair by a window, talking on the phone.
“My baby girl came with me,” Travis wrote on the photo.
Another of the shots shows Travis in the same bed but in a different part of the hospital with a blood pressure cuff wrapped around his arm. Kourtney is with him, leaning down to kiss him — possibly before he was taken into surgery.
“And my beautiful wife by my side,” he noted in the post.
He was in the hospital for a cubital tunnel release.
It wasn’t until Wednesday that Travis decided to share what was going on: He had surgery on his hand.
He shared another photo from his hospital adventure on his Instagram Stories, this time showing Kourtney taking a selfie as she sits beside him in his bed.
“I had surgery yesterday,” he wrote. “My arm, hand, and fingers have been numb since a show I played last month. I did a nerve test Monday after my show and it turns out I needed a cubital tunnel release to fix the nerve.”
“I wanted to get ahead of it and get it over with so that I can keep playing the way I play for a long long time. Should be good in a few weeks,” he continued, adding, “Not sure why my wife looks so happy about this.”

So far, all signs seem to point to Travis’ recovery going well.
He hasn’t shared any other updates related to the surgery since, and neither has Kourtney, so it seems like it’s safe to say that Travis is officially on the road to recovery.
Surgery is never a fun experience, but it sounds like this one was necessary for Travis to continue his music career, so it was totally worth it.
Next time, maybe he could give us a little bit of a heads up before the hospital photos start coming in?
