Some girl dads just get it. Maybe the bar is low when it comes to dads and men in general, and for some people, just seeing a dad out in public caring for his kids solo is enough to make them applaud him. But for one dad, who went viral after taking his young daughters to an Olivia Rodrigo concert, his dedication goes beyond simple parenting. There’s a TikTok video to prove just how devoted he is to his daughters. And, to be fair, devoted to Olivia Rodrigo too.
In the video, the dad seems almost more excited than his daughters to be at the concert. He sings and dances to the music as his daughters do the same, but the dad seems like a legit fan himself, and the internet is here for it. Then, he spoke out about the viral video and explained why his girls became such big fans of the singer, and the support for the dad only increased from there.

In the viral video, the dad sings along with Olivia from his seat in the stands as she performs on-stage. His daughters also jump around and sing with him, and it’s hard to say if the dad was a fan before or if he, like many of us, was forced to become a fan after playing car DJ numerous times and playing his kids’ favorite music over and over.
Either way, the moment has warmed even the coldest hearts on social media, including on Reddit, where users cheered on the wholesome moment that the dad himself didn’t even post, which further proved, to some people, that he was fully in the moment with his girls. Others applauded him for being a fun dad while also being safe about his young daughters being at a concert with him.
“Just a little point in this, but he’s an awesome dad for making sure his children are wearing ear protection at the concert!” One Redditor commented, in reference to the noise-canceling headphones that both girls are wearing in the video.
“And having his leg up on the stairs blocks the girls from falling down them,” another user added.
The dad said his daughters’ love for Olivia Rodrigo goes beyond the music.

In a follow-up video that his sister-in-law posted on TikTok, the dad shares where the family’s love for the singer came from. And, according to him, it’s deeper than simply loving Olivia’s music, though that seems to be part of it.
“I want to thank you all for your support in the comments. It meant the world to me,” he says in the video. “I was introduced to Olivia Rodrigo by my little Olivia, who knew all the words to ‘Driver’s Licence’ when she was three. And then she saw what Olivia Rodrigo looked like, and she said, ‘Daddy, why do I look like her?’ And it was in that moment that I realized that Olivia was not just her favorite singer, but made her feel seen. I hope this moment is a step towards normalizing, being actively supportive of your daughter’s interests, even if it makes you look foolish in public. Rock on.”

When the sister-in-law shared the video on her page, people commented there to commend the dad too. Mostly, they admire his dedication to engaging in his kids’ interests and being totally present instead of just there, while enjoying the concert along with them.
