It's not easy being a mom, even if you are a member of the British royal family. One has to balance duty and family matters and things can get muddy. Kate Middleton does everything with grace and class.
The Princess of Wales is mother to three children, Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte. Here are 10 times she rocked the mom game. She makes it look effortless.
She rocks the mom look.
Kate is a hands-on mom. She isn't afraid to get down on the floor with her kids and play. She also uses this method for harder discipline talks. When pregnant with Louis, she wore sweatpants for comfort. Eight months later, she was spotted out in Hyde Park with the little bundle of joy to feed the ducks in leggings, a puffer jacket, and sneakers. She knows how to rock the mom wardrobe.
She’s not afraid to discipline when needed.
Kids make mistakes and need parents to help correct them. Kate knows this and has put her foot down when needed. In May 2017, Prince George started misbehaving at his Aunt Pippa's wedding. In his defense, it had been a long day for the preschooler. Kate gave him a lecture and time-out so he could calm down and rejoin the party. She was firm but kind.

The 2014 Australia trip.
Prince George was born on July 22, 2013. When he was 8 months old, the family took a royal tour of Australia and New Zealand. It's never easy to travel with a baby, and it's even more complicated when its technically a work trip. Kate and William pulled it off in style and even visited the Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
The 2016 Canada trip.
Princess Charlotte joined the family on May 2, 2015. It wasn't long until another family work trip was planned. This time, the royals visited Canada. Kate balanced motherhood and work like a professional. She even did it in heels.
So many pictures.
Kate loves taking photos of her kids. She wants to capture the moments forever. She even takes the official birthday portraits of her crew instead of having a professional do the honors. She's a mamarazzi, but that is totally understandable.
She bakes the birthday cakes.
In 2019, Kate took part in chef Mary Berry’s Christmas special. She revealed that she looks forward to baking her kids a cake for their birthdays every year. “I love making the cake,” she stated. “It’s become a bit of a tradition that I stay up ’til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing and I make far too much. But I love it.”
She does morning drop-offs at school.
It's so hard to get the kids out of the house and to school on time. Kate knows this firsthand. She takes care of the morning drop-off for her family before she starts work for the day. It's an important part of the family's day. She makes it a priority to be there for it.
Necessity is the mother of invention.
Spit-up happens even to princesses. On the Australia trip, Prince George got excited when looking at a bilby. This caused him to drool a little bit, like babies do. Kate used a bit of her dress to clean up the situation. A mom's got to do what a mom's got to do.
Tantrums don’t faze her.
Toddlers have moments of big emotions that are not always easy to handle. Kate has the extra pressure of the media watching every move her family makes. When Princess Charlotte was just 2 years old, the family was leaving a royal tour in Germany and she was tired. She threw herself on the ground after not getting her way. Kate simply picked her up and continued about her day. Sometimes you can't argue with a tiny human.
She plans coordinating outfits.
Kate organized matching outfits for her family to wear when they were on a mini royal tour of Poland. She wanted everyone in blue for a cute family photo. While she didn't exactly get the pretty poised pic she was probably dreaming of, she did get a funny one for future laughs with George making silly faces and Charlotte looking at the ground. She tried and looked fab herself.
