We've all heard more than enough stories about celebs getting tattoos removed (especially ones involving exes), but there's one type of celebrity ink that rarely ends up going under the laser: Tattoos dedicated to their kids! Whether they're small and subtle or huge and obvious, famous moms and dads love these permanent reminders of their offspring — and we're guessing their kids probably do, too!
Getting tattoos in honor of a loved one is not always advised. Tattoos in honor of, say, a boyfriend or girlfriend, is notoriously a bad idea. But what about kids? These bonds last a lifetime, and it is sort of sweet to get a permanent reminder of these little creatures that we make. For a celebrity mama or dad, a tattoo is kind of a big deal. There is no doubt that a magazine or TV interviewer is going to ask about their ink, and if a celeb shows off the tat they got in honor of their little one, well, that's an "awwwwww" moment for sure.

Gigi Hadid & Zayn Malik
New mom model Gigi Hadid and her beau, singer Zayn Malik, got matching tattoos to honor their baby girl. Fans first spotted the ink on Zayn's wrist, and then in February 2021, they noticed a matching tattoo on Gigi's arm in a makeup tutorial video she did with Vogue. The tattoos are small script pieces of their daughter Khai's name written in Arabic.
Jessica Alba
After having her third child with husband Cash Warren, actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba visited celebrity tattoo artist Doctor Woo to have the constellations representing each of her child's astrological signs tattooed on her inner forearm. The tattoo is super delicate and hardly noticeable, even when her arm's exposed. But it's still really beautiful.
Drake
Megastar rapper Drake may not have let the world know he had a son until way after he was born, but that doesn't mean he feels any less strongly about his boy. Drake's affection for his son Adonis is so strong that he actually had his face tattooed onto his already heavily tatted forearm for all to see.
Kylie Jenner
Reality star and businesswoman Kylie Jenner got a super-adorable tattoo to honor Stormi, her sweet daughter with rapper Travis Scott. Kylie's tattoo is Stormi's name inked above her right elbow in a delicate font. Renowned tattoo artist Jon Boy did the work for her at Universal Studios lot back in 2019.
Dax Shephard
Rather than wear a wedding ring, Dax Shephard got a tattoo of a bell on his ring finger to represent wife Kristen Bell. Once they had kids, Dax had each of the children's initials tattooed inside the bell. Such a sweet sentiment and we love that he has a representation of his whole family everywhere he goes.
Ayesha & Steph Curry
Ayesha and Steph Curry got the most amazing tattoos of geometric animal symbols representing each of their kids back in 2019. "Each has a deeper meaning and representation to us," Ayesha wrote on Instagram. Her tattoo is on her inner forearm and baller Steph's is on his calf.
Chrissy Teigen & John Legend
Everyone's favorite cool mom and dad also joined the tattooed parents club. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend not only got each other's names written in an elegant script, but included their daughter Luna and son Miles as well. We love the simplicity of these tattoos and love that they carry such a significance even more. Later, when they lost their third child mid-way through Chrissy's pregnancy, the couple got matching tribute tattoos as well.
David Beckham
Not only does super-dad David Beckham have ink dedicated to his daughter Harper and a "We love you Daddy" tat designed by sons Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, but he also has this sweet tattoo of Brooklyn's nickname — "Buster" — on his neck.
Adele
While you could be forgiven for assuming the sweeping letter "A" behind Adele's ear is for her own first initial, it's actually for her son Angelo! She also has his full name tattooed on one hand and the word "paradise" tattooed on the other — because, as she put it, "He's my paradise." Awww!
Drew Barrymore
The names Drew Barrymore chose for her daughters (Olive and Frankie) are so lovely and whimsical, we're not surprised she chose to get them tattooed on her wrist. Sweet and sincere, just like Drew!
Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie has even more tattoos than she has kids, so naturally she has some special designs inspired by her brood! On her arm, the star has map coordinates that correspond with the birthplaces of her children: Maddox (Cambodia), Pax (Vietnam), Zahara (Ethiopia), Shiloh (Namibia), and twins Vivienne and Knox (France).
Jenni 'JWoww' Farley
Jersey Shore star Jenni "JWoww" Farley is known for making bold fashion statements, so we're not surprised that the tattoos she and her ex-husband Roger Mathews got to celebrate their Meilani Alexandra are as big as their personalities!

Actor Taye Diggs came up with a brilliant way to preserve his son Walker's charming scribbles: He asked him to write "I love Daddy" and got the words inked on his arm!
