After watching Jinger Duggar grow up when she was on 19 Kids & Counting to then becoming an adult — and later getting engaged and married to Jeremy Vuolo — on Counting On, we feel like we know this lady pretty well. At least, well enough to decide she's our favorite member of the Duggar family. Don't get us wrong; there's a lot to love about (most of) Jinger's 18 brothers and sisters, but there's something about Jing that we really love and can relate to, especially after watching her really come into her own as a person, a wife, and a mom without her family's constant influence on her daily decisions.
There's so much to love about Jinger that it's hard to keep it all straight. She has a good sense of humor, she's kind to everyone she meets, and she has a rebellious streak that we just can't get enough of. After all, she was the first Duggar daughter to show off her shoulders in a sleeveless top and to sport jeans! And for the record, her style choices since leaving Jim Bob and Michelle's compound in Arkansas have been flawless.
The older Jinger gets, the more different she seems to become, and now that she has two daughters of her own, we've loved every minute of seeing her blossom as Felicity and Evangeline's mom. When she was younger, she used to talk a lot about moving to a bigger city, and it seems like her life in Los Angeles is just the right fit for her.
Jinger has always marched to the beat of her own drum, and she's been known to throw a side eye or two at the TLC cameras. There are so many reasons that Jinger is our favorite Duggar, and here are some of the most important ones. Who knows? She just might become your favorite member of the family, too.
She Fearlessly Moved to a New City
When Jinger married Jeremy, they immediately moved to Laredo, Texas, for Jeremy's job — and, not too long after, they picked up and moved again, this time to Los Angeles, which was another major change for them both. Jinger seemed to adapt to both of her moves quickly, which isn't surprising; she's always had an adventurous spirit.
She Taught Her Younger Siblings How to Drive
In a household as big as the Duggars, the older siblings have to step in to make sure the house is running smoothly — and for Jinger, that meant helping her brother James learn how to drive. How adorable are they?! These days, both of them are all grown up, but there's no doubt their bond still stands.
She's Been Bitten by the Traveling Bug
Being a mom to two children (both of whom are under the age of four) hasn't slowed Jinger down! She and Jeremy have been all over the country since they tied the knot, traveling to places such as Atlanta and North Carolina, and they usually bring both Felicity and Evangeline along on their trips.
She's Super Close With Her Family
Even though California and Arkansas aren't exactly close, it seems like her family comes out to visit her every chance they get — and every time they make the trip, it seems like they have a blast. We love that she's still close to her siblings, even though she lives so far away.
She's So Close With Jeremy's Family
Is it just us, or did Jinger seamlessly fit in with the Vuolos? We love how happy and comfortable she seems with Jeremy's fam, but it's no surprise — Jinger is easy to love. They seem to spend time together as often as possible, from attending church together to going out for a group game of mini golf.
She Has a Great Sense of Humor
In fact, she could even joke about her baby bump, like she did when she posted this photo while she was pregnant with Felicity more than three years ago.
"I guess this is what happens when you decide to eat at Potbelly," Jinger wrote, undoubtedly getting a chuckle out of her followers.
Her Love of 'Fixer Upper'
Even though her siblings were raised in a home without TV, catching some HGTV seems to have been a priority for Jinger (and her older sister, Jana, who is a massive fan of all things DIY). She loves Fixer Upper so much that she and Jeremy have visited Magnolia several time, and we're so jealous.
She Led the Duggar Pants Rebellion
Although Jill, along with some of their other sisters, has been spotted in pants since, Jinger was the first Duggar daughter to truly expand her clothes-wearing horizons. She's been spotted in pants and even shorts (gasp!), along with sleeveless tops, and she's always looked totally adorable.
Her Wedding Was Beautiful
It seems like forever since these lovebirds tied the knot, but it was definitely an unforgettable day for everyone involved (and for those of us watching the Counting On wedding special at home). Jinger made a gorgeous bride, and it was such a special day for her, Jeremy, and their families.
And So Was Her Proposal
These two — seriously so cute. Their proposal was one of our favorite Counting On moments of all time. Of course, since the Duggars court with the intention of getting married, Jinger had to know that a proposal was coming, but still, she was so surprised by this romantic set up.
Her Relationship With Jessa
Jinger and Jessa have always been partners in crime, and we've loved watching their relationship grow over the years — especially after they grew up and are now both raising families of their own. And even though they're living far apart now, it seems like not even distance could come between them.
Her Adorable Marriage to Jeremy
Everything we've seen of Jinger and Jeremy's marriage so far, we've adored. We love that she seems to have found someone who's so perfect for her and helped her become the best version of herself. That's what marriage is all about, right? We can't wait to see what they'll accomplish together in the future.
Her Photography Skills
Jinger's been into photography since she was a kid, and she's gotten really good at it — and it doesn't seem to be a hobby she dropped after getting married. Now that she's on Instagram, she's had even more opportunities to share her work, and we're lucky when her subjects include her daughters (though that's been happening less and less frequently lately).
Her Love of Coffee
Jinger is all about coffee, and when she still lived at home, she was always taking her siblings out for Starbucks. We can totally relate! Now, it seems like as much as she still loves her Starbs runs, she's always finding more indie coffee shops to try out in LA and wherever her travels take her.
Her Goofy Personality
We've all been there when it comes to Jumbo Jenga, Jinger — it's a stressful game! She didn't let that stop her from playing, though. Not only does Jinger have a good sense of humor, but she's also pretty goofy in general, though … and that's part of what makes her such a fun mom and friend.
Her Style
Now that Jinger's fashion options have expanded to shorter dresses and skirts, sleeveless tops, and pants, we love how her style has evolved. Can we talk about how cute this outfit is?! It wasn't all that long ago that we never could have imagined we'd see her in overalls like these!
Her Amazing Hair
Just look at it. We'd kill for that kind of volume! We'll agree that most of the Duggar sisters have pretty impressive hair, but Jinger's is among the best in the family, especially now that she's started to go to the salon and is playing with different styles and even colors.
She Was the Most Adorable Pregnant Woman
Whether we're talking about her pregnancy with Felicity or Evangeline, we can say with confidence that her bump was adorable, and we loved her maternity style. Somehow, every bump photo she posted was cuter than the last — and even when she got to the end, she still kept showing up dressed to the nines.
She's a Thoughtful Gift Giver
Jinger gave Jeremy this hand-drawn piece for his birthday, which says "og mit liv," or "and my life," which is significant to him because of a story he liked about a man who worked in the mission field. How sweet of her was it to have this made for him?
"A thoughtful birthday gift from my lovely wife: handwritten calligraphy of the words 'Og mit liv' for my office," Jeremy wrote.
She's an Awesome Mom
Now that Jinger's a mom of two, we've really gotten to see that this is an area of her life where she truly shines. Felicity and Evangeline are both so lucky to have her, and we can't wait to see how she grows as their mom in the future. No word on whether or not she and Jeremy are done having kids, but no matter what, she's killing it as a mama.
She Wrote a Book
In early 2021, Jinger and Jeremy released their book, The Hope We Hold. Of course, writing a book of any kind is no easy feat, but writing a book that required her to get personal about her life and her upbringing was likely especially difficult for her. She did it, though!
She Started a Podcast
In early 2020, Jinger and Jeremy teamed up to start their own podcast, and though it's been put on hold for a bit, they've kept their brand alive — and Jinger has even appeared on other podcasts to be interviewed since then. She's building her own brand these days!
She's a Good Cook
One of Jinger's big hobbies is cooking and baking, and it's something she loves to share with her followers on Instagram. Jinger is always sharing her favorite recipes online, and what she whips up always looks so yummy (and no, it does not include tater tot casserole!).
