By now, we all know that our dear Kate Middleton is no average duchess … and no average woman for that matter. She's fun-loving, practical, compassionate, and about a million other endearing things, and even though she's been a part of the royal family for about eight years now, she never ceases to amaze us with what she can do. Of course we're talking about her rockstar parenting skills and her uncanny eye for fashion, but we're also talking about the things we never expected a duchess to be good at. For example … running around in a pair of high heels? That's something we never thought we'd be applauding the Duchess of Cambridge for, but here we are.
Over the course of her career as a royal woman, Kate has done just about every activity and played just about every sport that we could have imaged … and sometimes she does them in heels! Honestly, we think Kate will never stop amazing us, no matter what she continues to do. From being a wonderful mom of three to handling wearing heels while eight months pregnant, Kate has shown us that she can pretty much do it all. We shouldn't be surprised at this point, but Kate is constantly proving that she's always going to have something up her sleeve to keep us on our toes. If there's one thing we know for sure, those three Cambridge kiddos have one helluva mom, and we hope that they're as amazed at her as we are.
Because we'll never really get used to what Kate is capable of, here are 20 times that the duchess simply amazed us to no end. With Kate, we know there are many more moments like this to come.
Sporty Duchess
Kate is never too old to be one with the kids and kick around a ball for a little while. This duchess has alway been vocal about how much she loves physical activity for herself and for her kids, so we're sure she loves royal engagements where she can get that blood pumping!
Running After the Kiddos
Not only is Kate wearing a sundress and chasing after her two oldest kiddos, but she's also wearing wedges and chasing after them. We really don't know how she does this.
Not Looking Down
We're not sure how Kate is managing to walk down these plane stairs in heels without staring at her feet the whole time. She's had plenty of practice, so we shouldn't be too surprised.
Post-Baby Heels
Kate had just given birth to the adorable Prince Louis, and she stepped out in heels. Not tiny kitten heels — full-on high heels. Give your feet a rest, dear duchess!
Pre-Baby Heels
And of course, right before she went on maternity leave, she was still rocking some pre-labor heels like nobody's business. She's a marvel.
Pitching a Tent
Not that the duchess would ever have to sleep out in a tent (although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would advocate for it), but Kate now knows how to set one up! Important skills to have, dear Kate.
Hockey Gal
We might just go ahead and say that we think Kate has tried just about every sport in the book. From the looks of it, she could have had a promising hockey career if the whole marrying into the royal family thing didn't work out.
Throwing Darts
Watch out Prince William … looks like Kate has quite the arm on her. And it definitely looks like she knows how to use it.
One of the Kids
Kate has no problem letting go of her duchess airs for an afternoon and playing with the kids! These are the royal engagements she probably enjoys the most — even though she too has a house full of kids.
Wrangling Animals
Kate Middleton: animal whisperer. Is there anything this duchess won't do while on the job? Although, we'd probably all love the chance to feed some adorable baby animals.
The Ultimate Jump
Ah yes, we all remember this moment. This was when we all know Kate wasn't our average royal lady. She's sporty, she's cool, and she's 100 percent comfortable in a pair of heels.
Rugby Lessons
Soccer? Check. Hockey? Check. And now rugby? Yup, check. Now it really is no secret as to how the duchess stays so fit, even after having three kids!
Kate ... the Copilot?
Looks as if Kate might be taking after her husband and learning to fly a plane or two. She might be adding copilot to her royal resume pretty soon.
Battling for the Win
She might be lagging behind her hubby and brother-in-law, but Kate always holds her own. We suspect that there was definitely a rematch after this race.

As we all know, Kate is a huge fan of tennis and has even gotten her kids into the sport. We're sure she loves any chance she can get to play a match or two.

We love nautical Kate! By now, our dear duchess has just about every skill known to man in her repertoire.

Could Kate be the next lightweight boxing champ? Well, not likely, but we think she could hold her own.

OK — wearing heels in the sand is one thing … but playing soccer in them?? Kate never ceases to amazing us with what she can do in a pair of wedges.

Kate's also not afraid to take to the seas during her royal duties! Although, we don't foresee her doing this too often; she's much more comfortable on the tennis court or soccer field.
