Channing Tatum Files Restraining Order Against Stalker Who Hid in His Home

Well, this is terrifying. Apparently, Channing Tatum had a stalker … and this story could have ended much worse than it did. The whole ordeal seems like it was positively dangerous for everyone involved.

It seems Channing once filed a restraining order against someone who had been hiding in his home. (We can't even imagine how freaked out Channing must have been!) Guess this is one of the serious downsides to being famous …

Allegedly, a stalker took up residence in Channing's house in Hollywood for 10 days.

According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, a woman had been squatting in one of his homes that, fortunately, was vacant at the time. She was discovered by one of Channing Tatum's assistants and arrested.

The woman told the police at the time that Channing had invited her to stay there as a guest, but obviously, that was not true.

To make the situation even scarier, Channing had run-ins with this woman before.

In the paperwork, the celeb dad said that this wasn't the first time she'd shown up at his home. Allegedly, she had written him a letter in November saying that they'd met over a decade ago and that she thought Channing was the one stalking her, not the other way around.

Oh, boy …

The good news: Channing was granted a restraining order.

The Blast reports that the order extends to his ex, Jenna Dewan, and their daughter, Everly, which is a relief. If this woman has been after him for a long time, there's a chance she's interested in his family, too.

It's good to hear that they should all be safe for now, but that doesn't take away from how horrifying it is that he had to file for this order in the first place.

We're just happy that Channing wasn't home when the stalker was there.

We're definitely curious about how this all played out, but what's most important is that no one was hurt. As much as it sucks to have someone actually living in his house while he was away, we're just grateful he was gone when it happened.

We hope he gave his assistant who caught the culprit a raise. Seriously going above and beyond!
