Once the weather starts changing, the fashion game completely changes, right? With September right around the corner, the summer royal events are dying down, and the fall ones are about to pick right back up again. There really is no rest for the royal family, and because of this, they all have to have the perfect autumn wardrobe at the ready. Even though our dear Meghan Markle has only experienced one fall season as a royal so far, she has already (no surprise here) acquired quite the perfect autumn wardrobe. Even though she was pregnant during most of the fall last year, the expecting duchess still brought her A-game when it came to fall outfits.
Whether it's a trusted trench coat or a fall color-inspired outfit, Meghan can do changing leaves better than anyone. The only one who might rival her autumn wardrobe is her duchess sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, but we have to remember, the Duchess of Cambridge has had many more years of practice.
The Duchess of Sussex, on the other hand, is still pretty new to this royal fashion thing, because let's face it, it takes a while to get used to, right? Well … we would assume so. However, even though she's still technically considered a royal fashion novice, we're just going to go ahead and say that she's an expert at royal fall style. Coats, classic dresses, and lighter jackets are royal engagement staples for this family, and Meghan already seems to have quite the collection put together. We can only imagine what the price tag of all of this was, but hey, a royal woman has to do what she's gotta do once the weather starts changing! So, without further ado, here are 20 of Meghan Markle's best fall-inspired outfits.

The Burgundy Classic
This is the fall outfit of all fall outfits. Never has Meghan looked more ready for autumn than when she wore this monochromatic burgundy ensemble. We don't know what we want more from this outfit — the dress or the coat!
The Handy Trench Coat
Every woman needs a trusty trench coat in her closet, and from the looks of things, Meghan has a couple that she can throw on at a moment's notice.
Perfect Color Palette
If there's one thing that Meghan does really well, it's color-match her outfits to the season. Just like her matching coat and dress from earlier, this burnt burgundy shade is basically the perfect color for the entire season of autumn. Bravo, Meghan.
Carrying Hints of Summer
Sometime we really just can't let go of summer, right? Well, the Duchess of Sussex seems to know that there are still ways to carry the warm weather months with us into fall. The simple layering of a trench coat over a summery white dress definitely does the trick!
Autumn Green
We know we've probably said this a thousand times now, but green is definitely Meghan's color. Now, the duchess looks amazing in just about any shade she puts on, but this deep forest green really puts the fall glow on Meghan.
Channeling Fall Leaves
One of the many wonders of the fall season is the changing of the leaves. The summer greens turn into autumn yellows, oranges, and reds, and it looks as if Meghan was taking a little inspiration from the trees with this outfit.
Transition Outfit
It can be tricky to know how to dress when the weather is just starting to get a little cooler but there are still hints of summer lingering around. Meghan knows exactly how to tackle days like that, and it's with a stylish blazer and a super light scarf.
Going Casual for Fall
One of the best things about the fall season is that even the most casual of outfits can still look cute when the weather starts to cool down. Who ever said a puffer jacket and a good pair of black skinny jeans isn't stylish??
Fall Business Wear
We have a pretty good feeling that Meghan has menswear for all seasons. When it's summer, she breaks out her best tuxedo dresses, and when fall starts creeping up, she breaks out the full suit. We love a corporate duchess!
Keeping It Sleek
Who says white has to die after Labor Day? Meghan is here to tell us that it is indeed possible to wear white into the fall. Just put it in the form of a blazer, and we'll be good to go! There have probably been a lot of people trying to replicate this perfect cool-weather look from the duchess.
More Fall Green
Just because the green color of leaves fades away during the fall doesn't mean the same has to be true for our wardrobes. Meghan showed off the perfect transition dress for when autumn is just starting.
The Trusty Army Jacket
Every woman should have a version of the trusty army jacket in her closet, because once that weather drops below 70 degrees, they are the perfect guard against cooler temps. Luckily, we can also pick up a few tips on how to style them from our dear duchess.
Another Day, Another Blazer
Does Meghan have an endless supply for autumn-worthy blazers just hanging in her closet?? We're definitely starting to think so. We honestly can't blame her for keeping so many versatile jackets at the ready.
Cream Is the Name of the Game
If we can't get away with bright white, then cream is definitely the way to go during the fall months. Meghan paired a very autumn-looking cream coat with an equally fall-worthy green ensemble for the perfect cool weather outfit.
Strictly Business
And the duchess strikes again with another strictly business ensemble! Seriously, no one wears suits better than she does, and we really hope she continues to defy royal fashion protocol on this one. Long live the queen … and long live Meghan Markle's suits.
Straight & Sleek
New season and a new hairdo?? Why not! There are no rules when it comes to autumn, and Meghan knew this when she paired her rare straight hair with the perfect navy fall top. This look might be a little too fancy for all of us to copy, but hey, we can still try.
A New Take
A trench coat doesn't have to be the classic tan color. Meghan's brown plaid trench is still just as chic as a traditional one, and it looks like the perfect autumn time staple to have in our closets. Although, not all of us can afford the designer price tag.
The Simpler the Better
Sometimes less is definitely more. A fall wardrobe doesn't have to involve a lot of fuss, and this is something that Meghan seems to understand. All it takes is a dark tan trench and a simple black dress to wow everyone during autumn.
Burning Red
We're just going to go ahead and say that dusty red is the official royal color of fall. Sorry, royal blue. It's just no match against this vibrant autumn shade, and we can see why Meghan has been wearing it so often.
Nothing Wrong With Matching
Everyone heard it here first … matching sets are in again. And it looks like our Meghan is helping fuel the matching set fire. This vintage emerald green ensemble is the perfect outfit for when fall is in full swing.
