Adam compares how his daughters are to how he used to be with his dad.
"They always look out for me and my health just like I used to with my dad,” he said. “You go, ‘Man, I want this guy around,’ so I used to scream at my dad to quit smoking, and my kids scream at me to just calm down and try to eat a little more like a normal person.”
Adam says he used to be serious about exercising.
On The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the Leo actor opened up about his past physical habits. "I used to take working out so serious," he said, "and now I can't f—–g do it. I play hoop and then I eat. Every time I'm eating I'm going, 'What are you doing, man? You don't need to do this.' I can't stop, just got a little bit of thickness all over."

His oldest daughter suggested he get his trainer from his 2008 film.
He went on to reveal that his oldest daughter, Sadie, suggested he get the trainer he used while filming his 2008 film You Don't Mess with the Zohan. "My kids, one daughter, Sadie's always saying, 'Dad, get the trainer from the Zohan. Why would you ever give that up? Why did you stop?'" he continued on the podcast, adding that he told her "it's a lot of work."
The actor refrains from making promises.
Although Adam takes what his daughters say to heart, he doesn't make promises. "I just can't get back in there," he said on the podcast. "She's right about everything [but] I don't promise her. I go, 'Let me think about that; that's a good idea.'"
He shares both daughters with his wife.
Adam shares his daughters with his wife, Jackie Sandler, whom he married in 2003. She and the girls both joined him at the premiere of his Netflix special. His last standup special, 100% Fresh, was released in 2018.
