Adele isn’t just taking a break from music — she’s been taking a break from public life in general. But she made an exception over the weekend when she was photographed at the Great Britain Formula 1 Grand Prix.
She was dressed casually and clearly didn’t want to attract a lot of attention, and while she may not have gotten mobbed by fans at the event, now that people all over the world have seen photos from that day, she’s getting a lot of side eye.
Adele kept it casual for the day.
Dressed down in black sweatpants and a t-shirt bearing McLaren driver Lando Norris’ face, she wore oversized sunglasses and it seemed like she was trying to blend in.
Her appearance came just as she revealed that racing is something that she and her 13-year-old son, Angelo, have bonded over in a video that the McLaren team shared on their official Instagram account earlier this month.
“I don’t know many teenagers now that have an actual passion. So I’m really trying to encourage it,” Adele said, adding, “When your kid has an interest, you have to get into it. And more importantly, I think you have to be interested in it.”
Angelo might have been a fan first, but now, Adele is into it enough that she and her son “argue about drivers.”
“But it’s fun to have that interaction with a teenage boy in 2026. I wasn’t expecting it,” she said.
People think she looks totally different.
After seeing Adele’s look at the Grand Prix, people are responding to a post with photos from the event shared by Rolling Stone‘s official X account, and not in a good way.
Some people think she’s just aged (correct, she is a 38 year old woman and aging is a side effect of still being alive) and others are convinced that she’s had some serious cosmetic work done.
“Every time I see her, she looks like a different person,” one person wrote.
“And so it came to pass that Adele began her plastic surgery journey,” another added.
Plenty of others claimed that her weight loss was to blame, and the list goes on and on.
For nearly two years, she’s stayed out of the spotlight.
Just before the singer’s Las Vegas residency came to an end in November 2024, she told the crowd at a concert in Munich that her remaining performances at Caesar’s Palace would be the last for a while.
“I have 10 shows to do, but after that I will not see you for an incredibly long time, and I will hold you dear in my heart,” she said at the time, via People.
Now that Adele seems to be back in action, maybe new music is on the way? Fingers crossed.
