Reality star Kourtney Kardashian got a little extra love on her birthday. Kourtney's new stepdaughter, Alabama Barker, gave her a special shoutout on Instagram, celebrating what a great addition Kourtney's made to the Barker family just days after Alabama's own mother seemed to shade her.

E! News captured the pictures Alabama shared on her Instagram Stories before they expired.
"Happy birthday Kourt," Alabama captioned her April 18 post about her dad's new bride, who he said "I do" to over a series of three wedding ceremonies in 2022.
"You're the best stepmom I could ask for, you are so caring and generous for others, you are such a family person and such a hard-working mom."
She also mentioned how selfless Kourt is with everyone in her inner circle.
Alabama included some photos of herself alongside her stepmother and other members of the family in the post where she gushed about Kourtney.
"Even if you don't feel good or had a hard day, you always put your family first," she continued. "You have such a beautiful aura, I wouldn't want another step mom."
When Travis and Kourt got married, she gained three new kids.
We're not surprised to see Alabama raving about Kourt's parenting skills. She was already a mother to the three kids she shares with ex Scott Disick — 13-year-old Mason, 10-year-old Penelope, and 8-year-old Reign — before expanding her brood to include Travis' kids.
Travis also brought three children to the marriage, including his children with ex-wife Shanna Moakler — 20-year-old Landon and 17-year-old Alabama — plus Travis' stepdaughter Atiana from Shanna's marriage to Oscar De La Hoya.
Some may question the timing of Alabama's post.
Shanna made a post on her Instagram account that caused some fans to comment about her ex-husband's new wife. "I hope that you get a huge apology some day for what was said on that exploitative, money grabbing, circus," one person wrote.
The model seized the mention of Kourtney to throw some shade, claiming that she posts more photos of Shanna's kids than she does of her own.

No matter what Alabama's motives were, it's clear she loves her stepmother.
Everyone except Shanna seems happy with Kourtney and Travis' pairing — we've seen enough of their relationship on The Kardashians and their wedding special to get a good idea of where things stand — so it makes sense that Alabama would be singing Kourt's praises.
We're glad the blended family seems to be getting along. It's not always easy to pull off, but Travis and Kourt seem to be killing the whole Brady Bunch thing.
