Alabama Barker has faced pregnancy rumors in the past, but never publicly announced a pregnancy. In a recent post, however, she revealed that she has experienced pregnancy loss. The 19-year-old, who is the daughter of Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler (and Kourtney Kardashian’s stepdaughter), shared some details from what sounds like a really challenging time in her life in a video that has since been deleted. The reaction people had to the post seemed to surprise her, as she later said she was taking a break from social media.
In her original post, Alabama alluded to pregnancy loss.
Per Page Six, Alabama shared a video montage on TikTok that included footage of her touching her baby bump, along with footage of her crying. Over the video, she wrote, “You know ever since I lost my baby, got cheated on, while also getting hated on, I’d get this feeling like… I’ll never be the same person again.”
The response was not all that positive.
After Alabama shared the video, numerous people accused her of “attention seeking.” On Reddit, one critic wrote, “This just seems like a weird reach for sympathy and attention.” Another person questioned, “Are we supposed to feel bad for her?”
However, others noted that they did feel bad for her. “S!@# happens, whether planned or not, and it’s traumatic no matter what to lose a baby,” a third person wrote. “I just hope she’s OK and hopefully has a good support network around her. I feel for her, she’s so young and seems to have been put in the spotlight since she was a kid by people who were supposed to protect her.”
Others blamed Alabama’s parents for the issues she seems to be dealing with. “This girl’s parents really failed her… it’s depressing,” someone else commented. Several people had the same concerns, with one of them adding, “Her parents have really let her down. You’d think multimillionaire parents could get it right given the support they have that us plebs don’t.”
Alabama called the backlash ‘insane.’
She couldn’t seem to believe that people would accuse her of posting about pregnancy loss just to get a bit of attention. Via her Instagram Stories, she wrote, “The idea that I’d ever share something so personal for attention is insane. Accident or not, I don’t need to prove myself by posting. My journey is my own, not a performative and not because someone else shared theirs.” She said she would be taking a break from social media “for a little while,” but has since posted new content on TikTok.
On her most recent video, her followers called it “the fastest internet break ever.”
In 2024, Alabama asked her dad about his parenting style on TikTok.

In a video, she asked him a series of questions about how he would respond to a variety of situations. “OK what are you going to do if I sneak out and you find out the next day?” Alabama asked her dad in the video. Travis said, “I’m going to tell you how dangerous it is and maybe try to put you on restriction.” She also asked questions like, “Am I allowed to have guy friends over?,” to which Travis responded, “If I’m home.”
Alabama asked her dad if he thinks of himself as a strict parent. “I’m asking my strict but not strict dad hypothetical questions, OK? Would you consider yourself strict?” she asked him. He simply answered, “No.”
