The fact that so many celebrities are now on TikTok means that many of them are sharing their lives behind the scenes in ways we never would have expected. But it's safe to say that this situation involving Clueless star Alicia Silverstone might actually be a first! In a video she shared on Monday, Alicia ate a mysterious berry she found on the street while in England, and now, fans are legitimately concerned for her welfare. Uh oh …

It all started with a seemingly innocuous video.
In a selfie-style video that Alicia shared on both TikTok and Instagram, she's walking on the street in England when she holds up a small orange item that looks similar to a cherry tomato, asking her followers to help her identify it.
"I just bit into it because it was on the street and we were discussing whether this was a tomato or not," she said. "It's definitely not, because look at these leaves!"
She shared a glimpse of the plant in the video.
The leaves are what she said gave her pause about the plant being a tomato plant, though the inside looked similar to a tomato, seeds included.
It was then that she bit into the fruit again on camera, saying that it tasted similar to a pepper … and then admitted that she didn't think she was supposed to eat it (yes, even though she just did).
People were more than a little freaked out in the comments.
"Eating random stuff from bushes when you don't know what it is, is a level of non anxiety that I can only aspire to," one person commented.
Another added, "Imagine looking into your front yard and seeing Alicia Silverstone munching your garden."
Some believed what she was eating was actually poisonous.
Multiple people took to the comments to say that what they thought she was eating was a Jerusalem cherry.
If they're right, Alicia could be in for some not-so-fun symptoms. Gastrointestinal symptoms are most common, according to MedLine. Those who ingest the plant or its leaves can also end up suffering other, more serious symptoms like paralysis, shock, and hallucinations, so anyone who eats this plant should seek medical attention.

Alicia has been quiet on social media ever since.
And since that plant might have been toxic, it goes without saying that people are starting to get worried.
One of her TikTok followers wrote: "WOMAN! UPDATE US. ARE YOU ALIVE AND WELL!?!"
Fingers crossed we'll hear from her soon and that everything is OK! Let this be a lesson to us all: Never eat a plant you can't identify.
