Over the years, comedian Amy Schumer has been open about her health and weight loss journey, and now, fans are celebrating her for her efforts. Over the weekend, Amy showed off her major transformation for the first time, sharing the way her body has changed seven months after she revealed that she was taking the GLP-1 drug Mounjaro.
In one of her newest Instagram posts, Amy is posing with friends Alex Saks and Jillian Bell while they were on a trip to Las Vegas together. In the picture, Amy looks noticeably different, with her long legs on display in the back mini dress she’s wearing.
The comments are flooded with compliments for Amy from friends, including fellow actress Amy Sedaris, who wrote, “You look incredible. Look at those pins!!!” Kathy Griffin chimed in, “I’m so pissed about your legs, I can barely talk to you.”
Later, Amy returned to the comments of her post to thank everyone for all of their sweet words. “Loving the love. My legs thank you!” she wrote.
This update comes after Amy shared that she was taking Mounjaro, a GLP-1 injection, in March after she had a bad experience trying another one of the drugs. This time around, though, it’s been a totally different experience.
“I’m having a really good experience, so I wanted to keep it real with you about that,” she said at the time.
Amy has had a lot of ups and downs with her health in recent years. Along with being open about her experience with endometriosis, back in February 2024, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with Cushing syndrome, which is caused by overproduction of cortisol and can cause symptoms including weight gain.
“While I was doing press on camera for my Hulu show, I was also in MRI machines four hours at a time, having my veins shut down from the amount of blood drawn and thinking I may not be around to see my son grow up,” Amy said in an interview with Jessica Yellin at the time.
“So finding out I have the kind of Cushing that will just work itself out and I’m healthy was the greatest news imaginable,” she said. “It has been a crazy couple weeks for me and my family.”
