Andy Reid Shares the Marriage Advice Adam Sandler Gave Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce

It might have been 4th of July weekend, but the celebration that everybody is actually excited about happened at Madison Square Garden on Friday. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot in a ceremony officiated by Adam Sandler (because why wouldn’t he be their officiant?) that drew about as many major celebrities as the Met Gala.

Details about the ceremony have slowly been trickling out, and now, we know at least a tiny part of Adam’s speech as officiant.

Adam offered the newlyweds some practical wedding advice.

As the longtime coach of the Kansas City Chiefs and a friend of Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift, of course Andy Reid was invited to the highly exclusive Tayvis wedding. Knowing this, of course Andy was going to face a few questions about the nuptials when he talked to press on Sunday, and fortunately, he didn’t mind sharing the marriage advice that Adam gave Taylor and Travis during the ceremony.

“He told them to keep kissing,” Andy said. “In its simplest form … it’s hard to argue when you give your wife a kiss or your wife gives you a kiss. And make sure to do it every day.”

It’s not bad advice — especially when you consider the fact that Adam has been married to his wife, Jackie, since 2003, so he probably knows what he’s talking about.

“In a simply, hysterical way, he was phenomenal,” Andy added of Adam. “He’s crazy, but he did a great job in getting them married with a lot of humor.”

Adam Sandler was a surprising choice of officiant for a lot of guests.

He does seem to be a mutual friend of the couple, though, so maybe we should have all been less surprised?

Not only did Travis appear in Happy Gilmore 2 alongside the actor last summer, but Adam has been open about how kind Taylor has been to his family over the years.

“Taylor is so damn nice to my family and has always been,” he oncd told Entertainment Tonight. “My kids have met Taylor a bunch of times over the years, and she’s ridiculously nice to them and warm.”

So where are these wedding photos?!

In an other interview, Andy was asked why Taylor and Travis haven’t shared wedding photos yet, to which he responded, “I don’t ask a lot of questions, I just know he’ll be there for the start of training camp, and I know he’ll be in great shape and ready to go.”

TBH, Andy probably has zero insight into their photographer’s timeline and what — if anything — the couple wants to share publicly from that night. Besides, they got married three days ago. Can we give these two a chance to relax?!

Whenever Taylor does decide to share a photo, it will definitely be worth the wait.
