What to Know
The Kansas City Chiefs returned for training camp last week, and just so everyone’s clear: Travis Kelce, fresh from his wedding to Taylor Swift on July 3, is fully prepared for what may end up being his final season of football ever. Despite an AI-generated video that’s been circulating, showing Travis looking out of shape by professional athlete standards, of course — and his coach, Andy Reid, isn’t afraid to defend him from the rumors that he’s ended up with his own “dad bod” during the off-season.
A video of Travis has been circulating on social media, and many people seem to think it’s real.

Kelce is listed at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds.

The video appears to show Travis arriving at training camp looking a bit different than he did the last time we saw him, and now that it’s going viral, people are wondering if he let himself get super out of shape in the off season. Some people are even blaming married life for his supposed physique (even though it’s been, what? Four weeks?).
But apparently, this video is AI-generated, because that’s not at all what he looks like.
Travis actually looks much different in reality, and Andy is willing to back him up.

To put the rumors to rest for good, Chiefs reporter Jesse Newell shared an actual photo taken of Travis at camp this week, and he looks like his normal self.
“Because I saw the fake Travis Kelce beer gut AI practice video about 10 times this weekend… here is what Travis Kelce looks like at Chiefs camp this morning,” Jesse wrote in a post on X that he shared on Monday.
And in case that photo isn’t enough proof, Andy also came to Travis’ defense while talking to the NFL Network on Tuesday.
“Well, he came back in good shape. I know everybody’s out there saying he’s got the dad body and all this stuff, but he looks the same to me that he’s always looked,” Andy said.
The upcoming NFL season is a big one for Travis.
It’s his 14th season in the NFL, and it could potentially be his last before he retires. But according to Andy, Travis is ready to make the best of it. He told reporters that his star tight end is “just playing like crazy” at camp.
“He’s focused in and ready to go and I appreciate that,” Andy added.
The Chiefs’ first preseason game is only a week away, so we’ll find out how ready Travis truly is very soon.
