Angelina Jolie Reveals Why Her Kids Won’t Be Following in Her Hollywood Footsteps

After growing up in Hollywood, many celebrity kids choose to follow in their parents’ footsteps and become actors themselves – but apparently, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s children won’t be part of that group. This week, Angelina revealed why she doesn’t think her kids will ever go into acting, and the reason actually makes a lot of sense, considering their upbringing.

At the premiere of her new movie, Maria, in Los Angeles, Angelina told E! News that she doesn’t expect to ever see her kids on the big screen.

“No, I think they’re especially shy, very private people, and they want to be private,” she shared.

That doesn't mean they'll stay away from the entertainment industry altogether, though.

In August, Angelina told The Hollywood Reporter that her two oldest children, sons Maddox and Pax, worked on her new movie as assistants to director Pablo Larrain.

“Mad and Pax were on this one doing AD work,” she said. “They’ve done that quite a few times, and I think that’s good for them. Pax tends to do stills and he gets brought in, and Pablo was wonderful and recognized that he was good at it.”

They aren't the only ones who have tried their hand at working behind the scenes.

Earlier this year, Angelina’s 16-year-old daughter, Vivienne, worked as an assistant on the Broadway production of The Outsiders, which Angelina produced. At the musical’s opening night, she told People that Vivienne was a “really tough assistant.”

“She’ll correct me. She’ll say, ‘Didn’t you read the memo? We have to do this. We have to go through this,'” Angelina said at the time.

Her children are also pursuing their passions outside of Hollywood.

Angelina’s oldest daughter, Zahara, is attending college at Spelman College, where she seems to be thriving. Last year, she joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, and in August, she was spotted in a TikTok video with her sorority sisters.

It's not surprising to hear that Angelina's children like their privacy.

After all, seeing their parents experience all of the ups and downs that come with living in the spotlight over the years couldn’t have been easy for them, so who would blame them if they wanted something different from themselves? Still, it will be interesting to see what each of them accomplish in the future. Whatever it is, there’s no doubt their mom will have their back.
