Since Josh Duggar began serving time in prison after his December 2021 conviction, his wife Anna Duggar has been laying low — in fact, her social media presence has all but disappeared.
But this week, she resurfaced in an Instagram post looking totally different. It’s obvious from this one photo that she has had a complete glow up, and is it possible that being separated from Josh for so long actually looks good on her?
Anna appeared in a photo alongside her sisters.
In the photo, Anna is posing while holding a drink with her sisters, Rebekah, Susanna, and Priscilla, while in the Keller family’s home state of Florida.
“Fueled by tea and sister love,” says the caption on the photo, which was posted by a company called Hilltop Nutrition.
Anna’s wearing a denim dress and smiling, showing off her recent transformation, which includes a much lighter hair color. She’s a blondie!
She looks so different than she did the last time she was spotted in public.
Last December, Anna was photographed in public for the first time in two years looking almost unrecognizable from the way Counting On viewers would have remembered her. it seems like a lot must have changed in her life since those photos were taken last year, as users on a popular Duggar subreddit pointed out in a post this week.
“I will say she’s looking better these days, going to ball games, hanging with her more worldly sisters, letting her teens wear short shorts, and living in a nice house,” one person wrote. “Maybe she’s playing the long game and planning to serve Pest divorce papers close to the end of his sentence.”
“Nice new hair color Anna. Have you considered getting a new husband while you’re at it?” another commenter said.
Anna has been building herself a life without Josh.
In recent years, Anna has launched her own dog breeding business, Golden Grove Pups, selling golden retriever puppies in the Arkansas area.
Considering the fact that, as far as the public knows, Anna didn’t work at all before Josh’s conviction, that’s a big step for her in planning for a future where she’s a single mom for at least several more years, since her husband isn’t scheduled to be released until 2032.
Josh is reportedly worried she’s moving on without him.
In September, a source told The Globe that Anna “seemed happier” without Josh around, and had been making visits to the federal facility in Texas where he’s serving time less and less frequently.
“Anna was and is his whole world. He feels she’s leaving him behind,” they said. “Anna spent the first few months of his sentence moping around and missing him, but she seems to be doing very well without him now.”
