Anna Duggar Is Reportedly Still In ‘Complete Denial’ That Husband Josh Is Guilty

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt. According to insiders close to Anna Duggar, it's her entire marriage philosophy. In fact, it seems Anna still doesn't believe that Josh is guilty of the crimes he's been convicted of — even though he's currently sitting in federal prison, paying the price.

Josh is a year into his sentence.

For those who may need a refresher, Josh was convicted of possessing and receiving images of child sexual assault. He stood trial for nearly two weeks in December 2021 while his attorneys and witnesses for the defense tried to convince the courts that Josh was innocent.

Eventually a jury of his peers found him guilty and sentenced him to spend 151 months in a federal prison.

A person close to the family is opening up about how Anna feels a year into her husband's conviction.

According to Katie, an anonymous insider has told her that Anna is still in "complete denial" about Josh's crimes and refuses to listen to anyone who tries to convince her otherwise.

The mother of seven has been relatively quiet since her husband's conviction and disappeared from social media altogether, so we have no way of knowing what's going on in Anna's head.

Although Anna has accepted some of Josh's infidelities, apparently she can't bring herself to believe the worst.

"The source said that Anna accepted Josh was unfaithful to her years ago," Katie continued, adding that Josh's alleged affairs went beyond the one with dancer Danica Dillon.

"Josh's predatory and inappropriate behavior with teens and young women in the ATI was well known, said the source," Katie wrote.

Jim Bob's position within religious circles emboldened Josh, according to the source.

Katie went on to explain how the men in the Advanced Training Institute and the Institute in Basic Life Principles glossed over Josh's misdeeds because of his beloved father.

"Josh truly believed that he could do whatever he wanted, and he knew the cult members would cover for him because of his family's power in the cult," Katie said the source confessed.

Anna stuck with Josh through everything and appears to be set to continue down that path.

Anna is said to be "cutting out" those who believe Josh is guilty, and she burning bridges in the process. Naturally, this has caused major problems within the family and Jim Bob and Michelle's marriage.

"Michelle isn't happy with how her daughters have been treated by Josh or Jim Bob. But she doesn't have the ability to ever stand up to them because Jim Bob has no respect for her or his daughters," the source concluded.

It doesn't sound like life is going too well for the Duggar women these days — especially if they're unwilling or unable to do anything to get themselves out of the situation.
