With a little less than 10 years left of Josh Duggar's prison sentence, his childen were bound to visit him sometime, and now we know they've been to see their dad at least once. Recently, Anna was photographed visiting Josh in prison along with her seven children, and reportedly it did not go well — and not just because that many kids can be tough to wrangle.
Anna was photographed leaving FCI Seagoville, where Josh is serving time.
Frequent Duggar critic Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball shared the details in a new Instagram post, along with a photo of Anna and her kids outside the federal prison facility in Texas.
"Anna & Josh are barely speaking, didn’t kiss or hug when they saw each other, and the kids didn’t want to interact with Josh," she noted in her caption.
The visit took place in December, before Christmas.
According to a video Katie Joy shared on her YouTube Channel, a source said Anna spent most of her time chasing after the kids (especially Maryella, who is now solidly in her toddler years) and not really interacting with Josh himself. Meanwhile, Josh's main focus was the kids, not Anna.
Josh mostly interacted with the younger kids.
According to the eyewitness — who was someone else who happened to be there that day, visiting a loved one serving time at the same facility — the older kids "wanted basically nothing to do" with their dad.
Families who visit have access to things like board games so they can have fun together during their visits, but that was not happening. In fact, the big kids supposedly wouldn't even look at their dad, let alone talk to him, which makes us wonder if they have a bigger understanding of what his crimes may have involved.
Things did not seem good with Josh and Anna, either.
Katie Joy said she was told that they "barely uttered a word" to each other and were sitting on opposite ends of the table.
"They didn't even touch, they didn't even greet each other with a hug or a kiss, they didn't hug or kiss goodbye. It was very awkward," she said in the video.
It seems there's a chance Josh and Anna's relationship will not survive his sentence.
He's been at Seagoville for less than a year, and already things seem to be falling apart between the couple. Maybe there's some truth between those Anna and Josh divorce rumors after all.
Either way, it couldn't have been easy for Anna to make such a long drive from Arkansas with all seven of her children like that — and we can't imagine she'd want to do that kind of thing too often!
