The daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith showed off her fashion sense at this year's Kentucky Derby. Dannielynn Birkhead was joined by dad Larry Birkhead, who wore a coordinating outfit to celebrate the annual horse race. We can't get over how much Dannielynn looks like her mom!

The father and daughter attended the derby together.
Dannielynn and Larry made their way to the 149th Kentucky Derby over the weekend as part of their annual trek to the horse race. They kicked off the weekend celebration by attending the Barnstable Brown Gala pre-party.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of when Larry and Anna Nicole met at the derby, according to People magazine, which spoke to Larry about the father-daughter duo's derby traditions.
It's looks like fashion sense runs in the family.
Anyone who has watched the Kentucky Derby in the past knows that fashion plays a major role at the horse race, especially when it comes to the hats! Dannielynn and Larry both proved to be fashionistas with their coordinated looks, which featured Dannielynn in a stunning pale blue sunflower gown and Larry in a matching suit with a cheery sunflower pin.
Dannielynn also got to meet a musical idol.
The 16-year-old got a chance to hang out with rocker Richie Sambora, who gave Dannielynn guitar lessons.
According to Larry's Instagram post about the day, the teen showed off her musical talents by playing a little Janet Jackson for the former Bon Jovi guitarist, who she actually got a chance to meet at last year's Kentucky Derby.
The pair make this trip every year.
Now that Dannielynn and Larry have made the derby a family tradition, he feels pressured to make sure each year's ensemble can top the one from before.
"The stakes are always high on these outfits," he told the magazine. "People come to me and ask, 'What is Dannielynn wearing? Are you going to match?' The problem is the dresses keep getting more expensive!"

This tradition also holds a special meaning for Dannielynn and her mom.

Larry explains how he's saved every outfit Dannielynn has ever worn to the derby, just like he's saved all of her mother's stuff as well. He hopes she'll pass the outfits on to her own children someday, if she chooses to have any.
What a touching idea. Considering Dannielynn was just 5 months old when her mother suddenly died, we bet having items with such a strong connection to Anna Nicole will mean a lot to her daughter. Good thinking, Larry!
