In the resurfaced clip, Kate seems to be recoiling from her husband when he reaches out to touch her, which isn’t exactly a sign of a happy couple, and now, it’s leading more people to believe that their marriage is doomed.

This clip that was shared on a royals-focused subreddit comes from Will and Kate’s 2019 appearance on Mary Berry’s holiday special, A Very Berry Christmas. it shows Will and Kate sitting side by side in front of a fireplace and chatting, but when William reaches out to put his hand on his wife’s shoulder, it looks like she’s shrugging him off so he can’t touch her.
At the time, multiple outlets including Page Six reported that people were very skeptical about what this might mean for the couple’s relationship, and now that the video is coming back around again, there seems to be a similar reaction happening here.
People are saying that William is morphing into his father as he gets older.
On Reddit, more than one royal watcher pointed out that William seems to be giving off some major King Charles vibes, which is surprising after seeing the way his late mother, Princess Diana, was treated during their marriage.
“He doesn’t think mistreating her the way he does is wrong,” one commenter wrote. “Willy follows the draconian Windsor attitude that women who marry in should just put up and shut up. To be grateful they’re in the fold. He was embarrassed of Diana for causing a scene and I’m sure he’s drilled into Kate to never dare follow suit.”
