In the early 1990s, PBS introduced us to Barney, the purple dinosaur, and changed a generation of kids’ lives forever. Barney sang, danced, and taught valuable lessons to young children worldwide. “Barney & Friends” ran for 14 seasons from 1992 to 2010, with David Joyner donning the big purple suit until 2001.
Joyner eventually wanted to move on from jumping and dancing in the gigantic costume and changed careers totally. Today, the 63-year-old works as a tantric massage specialist and spiritual healer and considers every woman a “goddess.”
Joyner began learning about tantra decades ago.
According to his Tantra Harmony website, he was learning about tantra long before he performed as Barney. Joyner started studying tantra at just 20 years old. He explains that tantra’s basic philosophy is that all women are goddesses, and his work helps to unleash that.
“The more & more you understand how much of a Goddess you are & being able to live your life as a Goddess, you radiate that energy, and that’s the energy you will also attract. Others will see, honor, and respect the Goddess in you,” he explains.
A session with Joyner comes at a price.
He typically charges $350 for a session, which he describes as “3-4 hours of pure bliss.” Joyner’s white lotus tantric massage includes spiritual energy vortex meditation, a spiritual bath, and chakra balancing. He then moves on to a “very intense” spiritual vortex worship and then a full-body white lotus tantra massage.

Joyner works exclusively with female clients.
His mission is to help women release “emotionally blocked energy” so that they can begin to attract the right type of partner and experience true love. Joyner meets with his clients beforehand in person or via video call to ensure they both understand and want to continue with a session.
“Not everyone is ready for this type of enlightenment. My sessions are very spiritual, very moving, very enlightening, and very arousing. I’m also mobile. I come to you. I’ve found it more beneficial when I’m able to do a session in a client’s home or neutral environment like a hotel,” he explains.
