Picture this: You roll up to the drive-thru window at Dunkin' Donuts to order your morning cup of coffee on your way to work, only to discover Ben Affleck is behind the counter, waiting to take your order. That was a reality for some customers in a Massachusetts suburb this week, and some even got lucky enough to see Jennifer Lopez visiting her hubby at his new gig.
Fans got a chance to place their orders with the Boston native.
Ben donned the standard Dunkin' getup — a shirt featuring the company's logo, along with a hat and headset — and took orders from people as they pulled up to his drive-thru window.
A reporter tweeted that customers said Ben was "incredibly funny and quick-witted," which honestly doesn't surprise us one bit.
He may have been filming a spot for the Super Bowl.
TMZ reported that it's likely that he was slinging coffee as part of an ad for Super Bowl LVII.
That would make sense — after all, we don't think that Ben simply had the urge to pick up a part-time gig. In fact, his time at the Dunkin' drive-thru was probably lucrative for him, considering how big the budgets for Super Bowl commercials tend to be every year!
The notorious Dunkin' fan even got a chance to see a familiar face while he was at work.
Jennifer Lopez also stopped by on Tuesday, where Ben passed her a coffee and let her wear his official Dunkin' cap as the cameras rolled.
OK, knowing that J.Lo was also on site has us convinced that this spot is going to air on Super Bowl Sunday. We've got to admit, we're going to be tuning in to see this one!
We're glad the love birds are getting a chance to work together again.
The pair met on the set of the 2003 flop Gigli, where they fell in love.
Of course, their relationship didn't survive the media storm that followed, and they called off their engagement before ever making it down the aisle. But as we know now, they'd eventually get married years later. It's nice to see things come full circle now as they appeared to be filming together for the first time following their 2022 wedding.
This is probably going to spark a whole new wave of memes.
Ben's love of Dunkin' has inspired countless memes and jokes over the years, and we're sure whatever he's got going on in this new commercial spot will be no different.
At least this proves the Good Will Hunting star has a great sense of humor about things. Don't worry Ben, we're laughing with you, not at you!
