18 of the Best Celebrity Baby Names of 2021

When it comes to finding inspiration for a baby name, one of the best places to look is what our favorite celebrity moms have chosen lately. Of course, some celebrity baby names are a bit too … unique for most of us to use (like Elon Musk's son's name, X Æ A-XII, for example), but some of them are definitely worth adding to our own lists.

A lot of new babies were born this year in Hollywood, and many of them have unforgettable names we'd totally use for our own kids. Hilary Duff's daughter, Mae, has the perfect short and classic name for a baby girl, and we're obsessed with Lauren Bushnell's son's name: Dutton.

But those weren't the only two winners this year. Here are our picks for the best celebrity baby names of 2021. Plenty of them are worthy of using ourselves — as long as these famous little ones don't mind sharing their names, of course!

CLEO

In December, Christina Ricci welcomed her second child (and her first with husband Mark Hampton): a baby girl, Cleo. Her name might be short and sweet, but that's what's so adorable about it — and it means "glory, fame." We're sure Cleo's parents are already doing plenty of that with their baby girl!

FERN

Over the summer, Jessa Duggar and husband Ben Seewald welcomed their fourth child, a baby girl named Fern Elliana. Her nature-inspired first name went well with her big sister's, Ivy, and is another wonderful choice for moms who want something simple but still unique.

AUGUST

The name August was popular in 2021! Not only is it the first name of Princess Eugenie's baby boy, who was born in February — his full name is August Philip Hawke Brooksbank — but Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith also chose it for their baby boy, August Harrison (who goes by the cute nickname Gus).

SIENNA

Princess Eugenie wasn't the only royal to have a baby this year. Her sister, Princess Beatrice, also became a mom for the first time, choosing the most perfect name for the baby girl she shares with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi: Sienna Elizabeth (a shout-out to the Queen!).

LILIBET

The royals were really on a roll in 2021, including Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, whose second child was born in June. Though they have only shared one photo of their new daughter (in this year's Christmas card), they did share that they chose the name Lilibet Diana for her, as a nod to both the Queen's nickname and Harry's late mom, Princess Diana.

RADLEY

Former Little People, Big World star Audrey Roloff became a mom for the third time this year, picking yet another unique moniker for her baby boy. She and husband Jeremy Roloff named their little one Radley Knight, who joins older siblings Ember and Bode.

LUCKY

Singer Elle King chose to go a pretty unusual route when she gave birth to her first child, a baby boy. She named him Lucky Levi, which is unique but adorable at the same time (especially with that alliteration). Levi is growing in popularity these days, but this baby is practically guaranteed to be the only Lucky he knows.

IRIS

In August, Revenge stars Emily VanCamp and Josh Bowman announced the birth of their baby girl, Iris. This floral-inspired name isn't quite as common as names like Rose and Lily, but it's still just as cute — and totally fits in with the trend of bringing back older names that used to be more popular.

HOLLY

Lauren Lapkus and Mike Castle became parents in July and chose a traditional but still adorable name for their baby girl: Holly. Lauren announced the news with a video of Holly hanging out at home. Whether you love nature, Christmas, or are just a fan of the name, this is a cute pick for a baby girl.

JETT

Shawn Johnson and Andrew East welcomed their second child over the summer, a baby boy they named Jett James. As they explained in their Instagram post announcing his name, it has family roots: Jett was the name of Shawn's great-great-great-grandmother, and James is Andrew's brother's name.

ENDER

When Halsey and boyfriend Alev Aydin's first child, a baby boy, was born earlier this year, they announced that he had a pretty unusual name: Ender Ridley. This gender-neutral name is a cute one, and Halsey already seems to be loving life with their little one.

LUX

In June, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham welcomed babies two and three to their family — fraternal twins! They named their baby boy Lux, which means "light," and their pick for their baby girl is a pretty cute and uncommon one too: Senna.

DUTTON

Another Bachelor alum had a baby this year: Lauren Bushnell and her husband, country star Chris Lane. Their baby boy made his arrival in June — weighing in at 9 lbs. — at which point Lauren announced that they'd named him Dutton Walker. It's such a cute name for a little boy!

JUPITER

This is one of those names we probably never would have thought of ourselves, but we love it now that we've heard it. Ashley Tisdale and husband Christopher French went for something totally original when they named their baby girl — born in March — Jupiter Iris.

MAE

Short, simple, and just too cute. Hilary Duff's third baby, a girl, was born at home in March, and her first name is only three letters long. She and husband Matthew Koma named their daughter Mae Iris, proving that more old-fashioned names are totally back in style.

Riley

Meghan Trainor is among the many celebrities who became first-time moms this year, and the baby boy she shares with husband Daryl Sabara was born in February, a week before his Valentine's Day due date. His name is Riley, a gender-neutral pick that is simple but cool.

HONEY

This name is typically reserved as a pet name, but we're loving it as a real first name. Sadie Robertson and husband Christian Huff welcomed their daughter into the world in May, giving her the unique moniker Honey James. It totally fits this sweet baby girl.

SUMMER

There was a Vanderpump Rules baby boom this year, and that included Scheana Shay's first child being born. The reality star named her daughter Summer Moon, a nature-inspired choice that is sure to help her stand out just as much as her mom does.
