Could there be trouble in paradise? Singers Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani seemed like an unlikely couple when they were first connected in 2015 after meeting on the set of The Voice. After five years of dating, the two got engaged in 2020 and married in 2021, but now rumors are circulating that trouble may be brewing.
According to reports, there have been some growing rumors about their marriage.
The rumors began around the new year when the two, who have been practically inseparable for the past five years, rang in the new year apart and on opposite sides of the country, Life & Style reported.
"They've been spending a lot of time away from each other the past several months," an insider told the news outlet.
"It's been frustrating. Their relationship of late has been a lot of texting and talking on the phone."
"Gwen and Blake used to be inseparable, but that's changed," the insider added.
"Everyone loves them together, so hopefully, this is just a temporary thing."
After Blake announced a new collection of songs, even more speculation poured in.
On Instagram, Blake recently promoted a collection of love songs, which caused fans concerns, wondering if the lyrics point to trouble in paradise.
In the song shared on Instagram to promote the collection, Blake sings: "I don't wanna go down any other road now. I don't wanna love nobody but you / Looking in your eyes now if I had to die now / I don't wanna love nobody but you."
In the comments, fans speculated that Gwen inspired the song.
"Don't let her go. She's gotta love you for who you are," one person wrote.
"What's the purpose of this. We want new music and hopefully with Gwen," another person shared.
"Love is hard now; you gotta keep her," suggested another commenter.
"Wow.. suggestive," someone else worried.
Fans have been reading into Gwen's social posts, too.
Three days before Blake shared the song collection, fans speculated that something was going on between him and Gwen after she shared a photo on social media.
The image showed a vase of purple flowers with a card that reads: "To pretty girl, love Blake."
The comment section seemed mixed, with some saying the flowers from Blake and Gwen sharing them on Instagram was cute or a subtle nod to something they're working on together.
Others read the post as trouble.
"She bought the flowers for herself," one person wrote. "No news here."
"What's this all about? Can we see him, please? Where are you? Oklahoma?" another concerned fan added.
"Was Blake in the doghouse or something?" someone else wrote. "What did he do because these look like apology flowers to me."
The chances are pretty low that either will address the rumors. Fans, however, likely will pay even more attention to the subtleties between these two over the next few months.
